Dull Pictures

I got the Nikon P80 about 10 months ago. I took a lot of pictures (in Hawaii) lately. I am very disappointed with the pictures quality. Most of the pictures are very dull and faces are very dark, even in a sunny day. I used "P" mode most of time.
