This is an amazing camera. Still photos in daylight, at night, and indoors have all been fantastic. The low-light still photos, even without flash, are particularly incredible. Video is also great - 720p widescreen videos take up a lot of room, but the...

No problems with this camera. I was worried about the limited zoom range, but it ; hasn't been a problem at all. Only limitation I've found is that 720p video is limited to ; just over 10 minutes, regardless of the SD card size. Hasn't been a barrier for...

In the past year I have owned a Canon 400d, Nikon D200, Sony TG3E HD Camcorder, T200 and a T300. I have owned over 30 digital cameras in about 4 years. I AM FUSSY. I am also a traditionalist, techy geek with big contradictions as you can tell already....

None.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3

I was looking for a compact camera that could fit my pocket when I don't want to carry my DSLR (currently a 20D with a few L lenses). This camera meets my requirements: -fits in my pocket -full manual controls -high quality optics -bright lens (f2.0-f...

While overall, I'm very satisfied, here are my nit-picks ; barely fits in pocket, definitely creates an unsightly "bulge ; a dial for the manual controls would have been more usable than the joystick ; only zooms to 60mm equivalent ; zooming out to 120mm...

Best small camera I have ever owned, and I typically only buy Canon for this form factor. Dynamic B&W is fantastic.

What a wonderful little camera! The IQ is excellent, and the various film modes are great. Noise is good up to ISO 800. With an LX-3, who needs PP? Congrats Panasonic.

None so far.

I received my LX3 on Sept 25, 2008 fro B&H. The camera is light but solid. I have been an SLR and DSLR shooter all my life with the notable exception of a Leica M6. This camera was purchased because I needed something to take when the SLR is too big or no...

No problems yet. I have always shot with Canon or Nikon so the Panasonic Icons don't make sense and they are not intuitive. Plan on spending some time with the manual until you know what they mean...
