Loving it!! Think it is the best compact camera in the market for the serious photographer.

* sharp f2.0. lens

* I feel that the battery / sd card compartment switch is very plastic. For the price we pay, surely Panasonic can give us a little better quality here.

Great quality compact camera that also captures HD videos.

High quality lens and CCD sensor. Support HD (720p) videos as well.

HD captured at 24 fps instead of 25 fps. Component video rather than HDMI video output.

The TZ3 did not zoom whilst making movies but the AF stayed fixed. The TZ5 allowed zooming but the AF is active and hunts. What does the LX3 do?

Lens cap is good news. I have had 6 TZ3/TZ5s and those automatic lens shutter things broke on 3 of them. Very fragile construction.

Aspect ratio switch on lens barrel is daft. How often do you change that? Rather use the precious real estate for something you change regularly. And is it 24mm at 16:9 or at 3:2 as well? Look at the sample photos: 16:9 gets more width into the picture.

Anyone tried shooting at night, which has been frustrating with past Lumix models? Also doesn't the lack of zoom bother anyone? I'll need that for movies especially!

sharp f2.0. lens ; wide angle 24mm ; sexy black exterior ; sharp image quality even at ISO800 ; Noiseless in ISO80/100 ; High quality HD recording ; Manual control button easily within reach ; Small but solid feel about its metallic body

I feel that the battery / sd card compartment switch is very plastic.For the price we pay, surely Panasonic can give us a little better quality here ; The screw for tripod is placed at far end, instead of the center.May not be very stable on uneven ground...
