Great 'Classic' looking body that resembles Leica camera

By lv208306

I particularly like the hotshoe that is provided which one could attach an external flashlight. The latter is good in that it is much more powerful, brighter and longer/wider coverage than the mediocre built-in flash.

hotshoe onto which one can attach an external flashlight or an optional viewfinder

Focal length 24mm to 60mm (35mm equivalent) is too short

Great Quality from Point and Shoot, Best So Far

By einnorx

Bought the LX3 over a week ago, all the black ones are gone so got the silver one, contrary to most reviews I think the silver one looks better as it looks more retro like the old cameras of yester-years, also since it is silver the printed words on the c...

Almost perfect P&S

By sevenich

Used this for a couple of days, can now conclude it is probably the best point-and-shoot model today. Lumix really got all things right this time around. If you go to dpreview.com they will give you all the juicy details.

The best professional (Prosumer) back-up camera yet! This is by far the best wide angle compact camera in the market now!

By lenking

This Prosumer Camera has got better features e.g. wider angle lens than the Ricoh Caplio GX200, Nikon Coolpix P6000 and the Canon PowerShot G10. With the add on 18mm wide angle conversion, non of the others come close except for the Ricoh Caplio GX200, bu...

Wide Angle, compact, light and feature packed! Best to bring along for holidays without lugging a big and heavy SLR

An "almost-rangefinder" ideal for street photography

By efraim

This camera is a godsend for street photography and portraits up to 60mm. The tweaking possibilities are endless, and the results (b&w in "dynamic" mode and color in "nostalgic" mode with some tweaking) are nothing short of amazing, thanks to the 24 f/2 g...

f2 lens, black and white "dynamic" mode, light and pocketable, no noise up to iso 400

A Worthy Competitor to Canon G9?

By wilswong

Super comfortable camera. Love the dials and switches. However any features that is touting comparability of the tv screen is actually a misnomer because any sensor's length that has more than 1024 pixels can support all HD screens already.

Now there's no reason to leave your camera at home

By Rameish

This little camera is for the serious photographer when he/she doesn't want to lug around a DSLR. It's got almost everything that a photography enthusiast needs ( we all want more but do we really need it?). This would have been a perfect camera if it all...

Best P&S you can ever get with this price

By BlackHawk

It as good as a Leica C-Lux 3, but only the price is lower, much lower and you have a Lecia lens with Panasonic body. Fast lens at F2.0, crystal clear 3.0" display, sharp pictures. Good for low light and indoors photos. I have had so many P&S in the past...

Wide Angle, Fast Lens, good build, it just like a mini DSLR, only that it cannot change lens

Stand alone len cover, it will be good to have it fix to the lens

Manual control with a fast lens

By pahoffer

As a long-time fan of Leica lenses (I own an analog M6 with its Summilux 1.4) who doesn't want to shell out the $5,000 for a digital Leica M8, I've been searching at least 5 years for a reasonable compromise in a compact digital camera. The Lumix is a goo...
