Impressive

By Dino

Easy easy easy is the name of the game. Point and click and the pics come out great.

Quick setup.....bought it for my wife because it was that simple....but I like it too. As long as you don't have nervous shaky hands every picture that you take will come out pretty well. Low shutter lag, GREAT zoom.....night and day difference from my la...

usb cable isn't universal but I usually take the card and slip it in my computer anyway. The plastic screwpiece for a tripod is a joke....everyone knows that if you use plastic on metal threads that the plastic threads strip......where were the engineers...

Leica'n It

By brisc

For a point and shoot you can't miss. Treat it gently and you won't be disappointed. Make sure you have an SD card ready. Not included.

Great camera with an amazing lens. Pulls light in very well. Fast shot recovery and a huge display equals a very pleasant no brainer picture machine. The zoom is excellent too. 20 Ft across the room in low incandescent light can still read music on the pi...

Some have mentioned distortion. May be there but I can't see it. The subject of the shot matters most to me and this little gem delivers. The plastic screw in mount is barely adequate. The USB to camera connector is not universal. Must use Pana's cable. A...

An Evolved Improvement

By Mark

Kinda of sick of people saying they wish it had more manual control. Well, let me tell you, with such a narrow range of aperture settings on any compact digital camera, this makes it virtually a fixed aperture priorty camera anyway. Also depth of field is...

I also own the TZ3 which I rated highly already. Initial impressions are the TZ5 feels slightly smaller when you hold it even though the physical dimensions are vitually identical. The rubber hand grip is more ergonomically designed. The LCD is much much...

Not really a con, but if you don't like the pic quality due to noise, especially at higher ISO settings, then you probably need a proper DSLR which will be heavier and more expensive. The flash is also poor for distant indoor/night shots but not a big dea...

Very very nice

By cdub

I would like to have a manual focus feature, but that would make it more like an SLR than a point-and-shoot. I got an 8 gb SDHC card for this. Approx. 1800 9.1 megapixel picture capacity on that card. -- This is actually a 9.1 megapixel camera --

Leica lens. Huge LCD screen. Extremely high quality pictures. Intelligent Auto mode makes it easy for anyone to use. Best point-and-shoot camera I have ever seen. HD video capabilities too!

Battery life.

Panasonic DMC-TZ5A Blue 9.0 MP 28mm Wide Angle Digital Camera

By N/A

First use was newspaper assignment of historic reenactment (shooting side-by-side with History Channel and Missouri Dept. of Tourism peeps); left DSLR rig at home (Shssh, editor doesn't know), rolled the dice and shot the two-day event with the TZ5. Mock...

Quick start ; easy to operate ; long battery life ; sharp lens ; crisp images ; fluid color ; low shutter lag ; much lower noise than expected ; quality construction ; HD video ; gorgeous LCD screen ; tactile surfaces ; fits in shirt pocket

No manual control ; plastic tripod socket ; worthless mic ; no HD adapter cable included ; v-e-r-y slow to focus in low light

Best point and shoot available at this time IMHO

By CCB0x45

All in all I wouldnt buy anything else and for the money its the best camera available this year, the video was really surprisingly good allowing me to actually use it out for videos. I reccomend it(plus the black version looks sweet and the newegg 4gb bu...

Very good camera, glad I bought it

By Aaron

The 4GB card and camera holder are very nice, the card can hold almost 900 pictures and record 22+ minutes of video recording which is quite nice. Works fine on my Vista laptop.

This camera is a very nice product, Ive tried the multiple settings you can choose including the wide screen shot and all the pictures came out great. Video recording is nice and smooth as well.

Very few so far, The screen on the back of the camera is nice but is not indented into the camera so it can be scratched easily. The battery cover seems fragile as well but I hardly remove it anyways as it can be charged by plugging it into the computer.
