MIO - What are you doing?

By buzzb

THis is a MIO but really a navman s series.. I own a MIO C230 and a C320 both with IGO software. The IGO blows these units away. Fluid buttons, fluid LCD mapping, Fluid everything. Routing has all the features ECO, bike, walking, ON road, or off roads. EV...

Clear Screen, a tad Small tho. Bright, Grabs sat in under 10 seconds after the first startup, of course.. SD card for Unlocking your windows side. Can be done on all MOOVs which are Navman S series. Search Navman s reviews since this is a copy after mio t...

Slow to respond to button pushes. Viewing maps is a nightmare, It never stays to the point your viewing. It will always go back to your GPS Fix.. If your 300 miles from your FIX, Its a pain dragging back 300 miles!! The slow buttons, searches, routing is...

Pretty good value GPS

By Telemike

Really a great value. Was going to get the C230 until the MOOV series came online for sale and I wanted to have the latest maps and software. I was also considering the Navigon 2100 as well.

Map is nice and easy to read. Text to Speech is great to have and couldn't live without it. Speaks most roads correctly. Maps are fairly up to date, missing some new construction in my area but is more up to date than a Garmin NUVI 350 I borrowed last mon...

The route preference setting has 5 increments between FASTEST amd SHORTEST and 5 more increments for FREEWAY preferences. Have to play around with those to find the best combination that works for you. The small screen makes data entry tricky.

BUYER BEWARE

By dprovan

If they had decent customer service and their units didn't break so soon, it would be an OK buy

Nice unit

The mio is a nice little product BUT!!!!! their customer service stinks. If your unit breaks 12 months and a day from your first use you are out of luck Mio won't help you. I had 2 units, both had problems within the first year and Mio's answer read below...

Pretty Good

By Andrew

No need to use the software it comes with, if you have an AC USB adapter (like from an ipod) just charge it up with that and it'll work.

It Works. Not that expensive, nice car mount.

The screen is a bit small, but not unworkable (if you use the end of a pen or something it helps). The documentation it comes with is virtually non-existent, the real help comes in a PDF you can get off of the disc or online.
