"Solid GPS, but extra features are poorly executed."

By Atkins400

My old GPS was swiped recently, so I was look...

Accurate navigation, TTS, very responsive and stable OS.

Could use some better display features, like the ability to select larger labels for street names, and current trip information. Phone and multimedia features are not very useable.

"Excellent GPS. It has all important functions"

By gog061

I do not see any problem with this device. It...

Bluetooth works well with Plam Treo 750. Exellent Menu button bellow the screen - makes life easier.

Graphics is not the best. The name of the street on the map are small, not ease to read.

"issues: Contacts, FM Transmitter, trips & battery"

By jeffrycstone

So... I have owned my 500 now since Christmas...

Overall, for my first GPS device, I really enjoy all the features... GPS, Connection with Phone & Phonebook, MP3 & MP4 (Movie playback).

Bad sync with PDA phone's, ? add contacts thru PC, Small SD card provided, MP3 interface =cheezy, FM transmit = static, movies =choppy, issues w/ city line & missing addresses, can't update POIs, no "Take me home" button, 1hr battery life, traffic?

"Doesn't accept major road nearby as valid!?"

By quietjet

I've spent the last hour trying to figure out...

I like nothing.

It does not recognize a major state road in my town. When typing the name of the street, some of the letters darken, only letting you press on one of the lighted letters. System is not user-friendly.

"****SIMPLY THE BEST GPS OUT THERE ON THE MARKET****"

By AXHEJAZ

CONCLUSION, THE NOKIA 500 HAS LOST OF SUPERIZ...

THE GPS IS REALLY INTELLEGENT! I LOVE THE HUGE SCREEN COMPARED TO OTHER COMPANIES THAT ONLY BUILD A CAMERA VIEW! IT'S SUPER FAST I MEAN IT'S REAL FAST WHEN IT WANTS TO CALCULATE A ROUTE. I GURANTEE YOU THAT THIS IS THE BEST GPS OUT THERE TRY IT!

WHEN I FIRST OPEND IT I THOUGHT THAT IT DOESN'T HAVE 3D MAPS OR IT DOESN'T READ THE STREET NAMES. BUT I WAS WRONG IT DOES AND IT DOES IT DAMN WELL. YOU JUST NEED TO SET IT UP. IF YOUR NOT A ELECTRONIC PERSON U CAN GET LOST FOR ME IT WAS A BREEZE.
