The supplier of maps for Tomtom is Tele Atlas and they have not corrected for the datum used for Alaska. Therefore; Tomtoms indicate your position 100 to 200 yards west of your actual position.

I have used Tomtom for years and have found the GO 930 excellent for the most part. It initializes faster than any GPS I have used so far. Updating and managing the unit through Tomtom Home is simple and easy.

Not good for use in Alaska.

I am throwing mine away. I learned my lesson!

TOM TOM is horrible!!!!!! Map updates expensive and troublesome. Buyer beware
