I have found that the tom tom 930t is a great piece of kit because it does many things, not only is it a sat nav but it also is a hands free unit for my mobile phone and with an extra sd memory card it works like an ipod in the car. also worked very well...

large screen lane guidence is great on motorways also recalculating route rather than telling you to turn around if possible

this was purchased for my dad who hates new products and working out how they work it takes a while to learnn how it works and some of the warning sounds drove him crazy until he worked out what the persistant beep was

Simple to use. Accurate and with a good deal of futureproofing via the online updating through the simple docking station connection to pc or laptop. Allows alternative routes to be found for just sections of a journey.

For the price (new product -still a premium price) I expect some sort of case even if it was a bit cheap and flimsy needing a better replacement... but nothing!

User guide whilst extensive lacks detail for first time users. Once using the device is mastered the guide is OK. Trouble shooter section missing from User Guide.

Absolutely ridiculous Windscreen mount. No decent suction. Have tried Air vent Mount and alternative windscreen mount. Both useless. Air vent mount just flaps around and alternative W/screen mount vibrates so bad you can't see the screen. On a device cost...
