Ipod what?

By N/A

Don't let the headphones get in the way of you buying the Fuze. You'll be glad you did.

What's there to say except this is better on everything. Great sound in tiny package. It has several presets for rock, pop, jazz and a few more plus you can set it manually if you want. For a few bucks cheaper you get this and it has a very crisp, clear s...

The only reason I gave it 4 eggs is the headphones aren't that great. Don't get me wrong, they are not horrible. I paid an extra $25 and got a nice in ear from Koss and the sound improved two or three times better.

Great, Affordable MP3, video player

By computercommando

After you convert video files you can save them on your puter HD and put them back on later, saving you time and memory. With only 2 gigs you have to prioritize.

Affordable, easy to use. MP3 & WMA files are drag & drop. Quick start guide gives the link for the video converter. Small app that converts your video files to the media player. Plays great. I've been converting my music video files and watching them. Sup...

Very good Linux MP3 player

By Ric Werme

Compared to dealing with my old iPod, this is a wonderful device to work with from Linux. I have a lot of classical music (long file names, European & Russian text, and Artist/Album/Song doesn't quite fit. Python to the rescue, though I've had to learn mo...

Works with "cp" and "*.mp3" - if you have MP3 metadata in the files. CD's I ripped with an old Banshee _don't_ have metadata, but I can write a Python program with the mutagen library to fix that. The music menus are all based off the metadata, not the di...

The user interface is a bit rough. The main menu is more fancy than user friendly (it works better if you go backward through it).

not a lawn mower

By N/A

if you get one here's the user end problems I had.

bought it a week ago, had several user end problems. read all the reviews I could find, though I'd have to work around like CRAZY to get it to work as just an mp3 player. but suprize suprize if I would have used it out of box as SanDisc intended it would...

you do have to use a proprietary video converter to upload any video onto it, and it dosent come with the converter you gotta D/L it. and it's not totally clear where to get one... and all that. they could do way way better with packaging all the software...

Great player, but....

By Tigerabbit

Sansa and others are obviously out to get a piece of the pie created by iPod, yet they do little or nothing to make it easy for Mac users to use their products. There is no reason for the units to be so platform-dependent. The necessity for proprietary co...

Sturdy, well made player. Very ergonomic and easy to use. Audio quality and file range very good. Nice looking unit with clear visual display. Good battery life. Reasonable price. Memory expandable. Drag and drop loading. Voice/radio recording easy and go...

Very Windows-dependent. Difficult to use with Mac. Files that come with the unit do not appear on desktop, so you either leave them on the player or lose them. Media converter software useless with mac, and reportedly very problematic even if you have a w...

Excellent MP3/MP4 Player

By JC from AGS

At this point I love it as much as my daughter. Santa rocks as well as Newegg. 4 eggs up.

This is an excellent player. It's easy to use and the controls are simple to understand. I got this for my 8 year old for Christmas and she figured it out with no problems. It does everything well at a great price. The file conversion is 50 to 60 % smalle...

Be prepared to spend some time if you want to view videos. The Sansa Media Conversion software will only convert videos that are in a standard format AVI, WMV, MP4 etc... It will not convert from a DVD. I don't know if it's my PC or the software but the c...

Why spend a bundle on an iPod?

By Jeff

I just saw the 4GB is on sale for less than the price of a 2GB. Just my luck!

It does everything you'd want in a pocket media player. It plays MP3 and other formats. It plays movies and still photos. It's a voice recorder. It's a radio. It records radio.

Unfortunately, you can't drag and drop videos. For some reason you have to convert them first with SanDisk's software, which only runs in Windows. I assumed it would take a 600MB movie and lower the resolution to the Sansa screen size and create a much sm...

Incredible Portable Media Devise

By Craig07

Buy the 2GB version then buy the 8gb sd card from new egg for $36.00 , you get a 10gb player for for less than the price of the 8gb lol.

Micro HCSD card slot, Built in Radio comes in crystal clear. Ability to record radio. You can record your voice (which it does amazingly well). Sound quality for music/videos is excellent. The best part is that you do not need iTUNES to sync your files. Y...

SanDisk Sansa Fuze 1.9" Black 2GB MP3 / MP4 Player

By MacTruck

Cheap alternative to an iPod nano with more storage and a similar interface.

MicroSD Card allows $20 upgrade to 10GB. Music from the internal memory and flash card are mixed seamlessly on the player. Screen is bright and easy to see in sunlight. Intuitive interface both on the player and in the PC software. Drag-and-drop over USB...

There is a noticable distortion on low bass frequencies regardless of which headphones I use. It isn't enough to be annoying, but it's almost like a cheap car subwoofer install that rattles. The player takes a long time to delete a song, up to 10 seconds....

Who Needs Apple?

By sleedun

Some people complain about the media converter for pics and video, but I have not had any issues using the software to convert DivX, AVI, WMV, MPEG2 and H264. Because of video issues above, I don't use for video anymore, but I do store pics of family and...

Nice small size fits anywhere. 8 GB is plenty for me. Seems pretty sturdy, but just to be safe, I bought a case/armband for protection more than anything else ; Good battery life. Excellent sound quality. Plays pics and video. Loads MP3's easily from WMP...

Propriatory USB port, which is common for Sansa ; Occasionally the player freezes and have to reset it. Froze up 3x in 6 months (The first 2 times in first month prob my fault) ; It can take a while to play a specific song as it takes a lot of scrolling e...
