So far - so good
I was happy with all but the quality of the picture. But that turned out to be at my end. I added a good quality drop amp and the picture cleared up beautifully. BTW - that was suggested n the documentation. I like the features very much. Good bang f...

Flaky performance
The EyeTV 250 Plus randomly glitches out, introducing horizontal red and blue bands into the video. I've isolated this to the EyeTV (connecting the video input to a TV makes the lines go away; unplugging EyeTV and plugging it in again also makes the lines...

Arg! I wish I had more details before I bought.
I want to recommend this I really do but I can't. The software is a pain to install. It gets really hot. I still can't seem to get more then a few minutes out of it before it cuts off and the Mac doesn't recognize it anymore. No I have not contacted te...

Canadians beware - no EPG
Although this may be a perfectly good product, Canadians should beware that there is no working electronic program guide for Canada integrated with any Elegato TV product. There are guides for the US, UK, Australia and even smaller countries, but not Cana...

More Flexible than TiVO
I use this with a MacPro and Digital Cable. It performs as advertised, and the ability to record TV and automatically export to iPhone and Apple TV is worth the price alone. Use in conjunction with Titan TV remote scheduling, and you have in fact replic...

This thing just plain works. I connected it to my old VHS machine with my old triple cable (red, white, yellow). Then I connected it to my cable modem with a cable splitter. Inserted its CD, followed its prompts, and then used the onscreen "remote" to sw...

Works as advertised, great product, verify version being shipped though
I bought this item for use on a Mac Mini with 1.83 C2D processor, 2GB RAM, 80GB HD and running Mac OSX Leopard. If you plan on using this product to archive movies and TV shows, make sure you have plenty of hard drive space. At DVD quality, a 30 minute TV...

Glitchy software, probably not worth the trouble
I was trying to decide between a cheap VCR and the EyeTV, and went for the latter. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably just get the cheap VCR. On a number of occasions the software has given me hassles and caused me to waste precious free time deal...

Who needs a TV any more?
The EyeTV 250 Plus is a great little gizmo. It basically turns your Mac into a Tivo, with the ability to record as many TV shows as you can fit on your hard drive(s). The editing feature is easy to use -- it takes only a couple of minutes to remove all...

Great product, very easy to use
This product is exactly as it is described. It took about 5 mins to set up and I have had no problems. The software can be set to export to itunes automatically. My only complaint is that you are unable to get the TV lisitings for Canada.
