Panasonic DMR-BW880 Blu-ray recorder

This Panasonic Blu-ray recorder adds features that the older DMR-BW850 didn't offer -- and it's cheaper

DLNA server capability, cheaper than DMR-BW850

Still expensive, could use more Internet features

The Panasonic DMR-BW880 has almost every feature you could hope for in a media player. The 500GB hard drive can store plenty of compressed video recordings (which can also be copied to Blu-ray), its network support allows Internet features and media...

Panasonic DMR-BW880 Blu-ray recorder review

For DIY recording in HD, you can't beat a Blu-ray recorder

User friendly ; Versatile ; Quality BD-R recordings ; Remote control

Dated looking GUI ; Adverts within EPG ; No CI slot

Panasonic DMR-BW880 review

Best Blu-ray/HDD recorder, Awards 2010. It's not often we see a product as complex as this Panasonic Blu-ray recorder

Great recording and playback quality ; huge flexibility caters for every need

Complex – so much so that it can be awkward to live with ; not cheap, either

Best Blu-ray/HDD recorder, Awards 2010. If you value what it can do and are prepared to pay the price, great. Not ideal for the first-time buyer though…

Panasonic DMR-BW880 review

The Panasonic DMR-BW880 is a Blu-ray disc recorder with a 500GB internal hard drive and twin high-definition digital television tuners. It builds upon the older Panasonic DMR-BW850, adding DLNA media sharing over a home network, but we would have liked...

Panasonic DMR-BW880 review: PS3 beater?

For gamers, a PS3 and a cheaper Freeview HD PVR is a better solution

Has twin Freeview HD tuners and a huge hard drive

Costs three times as much as a PS3

Panasonic DMR-BW880

Does what we want, relatively easy to set up and use, and if its anything like our other panasonic HDD PVR which has so far never let us down, I will be more than happy. The hand set is well laid out compared to most other we had tried. We have had...

A little slow when changing between menus
