Garmin Dash Cam 66W Review

Wide-angle camera ; Effective driver assists ; Small footprint doesn't crowd your view ; Supports voice control ; Easy-to-use app

Unimpressive low-light image quality ; Doesn't include a microSD card

The tiny Garmin 66W is a thoughtfully designed, feature-filled dash cam that includes driver assistance warnings that can help prevent a crash.

Garmin 66W dash cam review: Same small form factor, much improved video

The Garmin Dash Cam 66W packs great features, including phone connectivity, into a very small profile, but it runs a bit on the hot side.

180-degree field of view captures more side action ; Sleek design and phone connectivity ; GPS and drivers aids are handy

Runs hot ; Night video lacks detail in low-light situations

Last year, I gave the Dash Cam 65W a qualified recommendation for those who wanted a wide field of vision and sleek design, and could tolerate its jouncy reactions to uneven pavement. This year, with the Dash Cam 66W, it's smooth sailing on rough roads...

Garmin Dash Cam 66W review

The perfect compact dash cam for those on a mid-range budget, with high-quality video, driver assistance features, and a wide-angle lens

Subtle, compact design ; Good video quality ; Easy to mount and review

Runs quite hot ; Voice controls often unnecessary
