GoPro Hero+

 

The GoPro Hero+ is a solid action camera if you're on a budget, but it can't be removed from its case and you can't swap its battery.

Rugged design. Numerous mounts available. Built-in Wi-Fi. 1080p60 video capture. Extremely wide field of view. Affordable.

Clunky interface. Front LCD not backlit. Can't be removed from case. Built-in battery can't be swapped in field. Two-hour recording life per charge. Lens shows a lot of distortion. Omits image stabilization. Requires optional accessory for tripod use....

Conclusions The GoPro Hero+ is an appealing choice for action cam shoppers who don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a camera (though there's no guarantee that you won't break a bone using one). If you want more resolution, you'll need to spend more...

Fantastic camera and son very delighted with his gift on Christmas day. However be warned it does NOT come with the SD card so you do have to buy a separate one, which the product details do not tell you! One very disappointed son on Christmas day.
