Hitachi DZ-MV270A - camcorder - DVD review: Hitachi DZ-MV270A - camcorder - DVD

Hitachi DZ-MV270A - camcorder - DVD

Much less expensive than its predecessor; megapixel still-image capture; direct, random access to video clips and stills; large, sharp LCD.

DVD media faces limitations in compatibility and functionality; a bit bulky; lackluster low-light performance; slow start-up time.

This Hitachi's DVD-recording media creates more of a hassle than MiniDV, leaving it a bit overpriced and underfeatured.

Hitachi DZ-MV270 test

Hitachi's DZ-MV270 offers closer integration with set-top DVD players and far better picture quality than its predecessor. But just how good is this DVD-based camcorder?
