Panasonic AG-DVC7 Mini DV Camcorder Review

In times where most everything is getting smaller, Panasonic has recycled the idea that bigger is better. The design of the new AG-DVC7 is a blast from the past, sporting a large rear-end that allows for easy and stable shoulder shooting. There is...

Fantastic camcorder!

Neither this camera nor the DVC20 supports XLR input, but I really wish that people would stop complaining about that! The Beachtek XLR-to-1/8" converter attaches to one of the DVC7's cold shoes and plugs right into the external micropone input. That's...

The 2.5" LCD is rather small, especially when the flip-out panel could easily accomodate a 3.5" LCD. Widescreen is 16:9 "soft matte", not anamorphic. 750x digital zoom is a totally useless feature

Definitely Professional Considering...

Panasonic AG-DVC7 seems to be aimed at those wedding videography professionals who were using the Panasonic AG-45X series or the AG-460 series of S-VHS format camcorders. I must applaud their marketing personnel as this group of wedding videographers ...
