Not just for the pros

My husband is a filmmaker and when we were approaching the birth of my first son, he was gung ho on getting a videocamera worthy of capturing the magic (never mind that I wasn't at all gung ho about being filmed!). We searched for months and read...

Excellent features, very light and compact, awesome battery life

VERY expensive, tapes are also expensive

Great Camera

I took this camera on a sailing trip to the British Virgin Islands. I got excellent pictures - as good as any I've seen on TV. And it was so easy to use. I never even read the directions and was able to take great pictures. Just think what I'll be...

Superb picture quality, great battery life, easy to use.

A Bad Quality Product

I just bought the Sony DCR-TRV8 a month ago and after spending a lot of time on vacation with it, I am not impressed at all! I know I am being extremely picky with this review, but I know Sony can do better. I recommend the Panasonic PV-DV800...

Falls Short For the Price

When I worked in an electronics store over the Christmas holiday, I had the great opportunity to try out many new products for myself and also had a chance to see what many other consumers thought about the products as well. This camcorder from Sony...

Become a Prefessional with this camera

This camera is great. I have captured and preserved birthdays, first steps, varsity basketball games and 50th annaverseries with it. The quality of the picture is great. It is nearly twice as fine as earlier models. The camera is easy to use. It...

Need a camcorder? Try Sony

I trust Sony with many products and when it comes to camcorders, Sony is at it's best. I tried many brands in the past, some Canons, Panasonics etc. Sony is easy to use, all buttons and controls are a piece of cake to use. Not only is it easy, it is...

Sony's DV entry level, aint too shabby.

Sony is/has been a leader in the technology sector since the early 80's. Not because they're the best, nor that they are any cheaper, it's just that they are well known. Although much of thier equipment is terribly designed and falls apart quickly....

Affordable, Nightvision, LCD screen

Entry level consumer only.

Perfect little camcorder

Previously, I owned a Sony 8mm camera. Having built up quite a collection of tapes, I naturally opted for a Digital 8 camera when it was time to upgrade. The D8 (Sony model, can't remember the model number) was fine but it was too darned heavy. ...

Small size, easy controls

Don't need all the bells & whistles
