The Liquid E3 has a decent spec list, just don't try and make a call

As a mid-range smartphone, the Acer Liquid E3's price tag will be appealing to many. It costs £160, which is much lower than the Sony Xperia M2's £230, but slightly more than the Motorola Moto G's £135.

On the downside, the Acer Liquid E3 doesn't have an awful lot of physical storage. The 4GB it comes with will fill up in no time. Thankfully Acer has recognised this and has equipped the Liquid E3 with a microSD slot, so users can boost the space on...

We're incredibly impressed with what the Liquid E3 gives you for the money. If you don't mind having to fork out for a microSD card to boost the storage then you could do a lot worse than this smartphone.

Acer Liquid E3 Review: Can It Take On The Awesome Moto G?

 

While the likes of HTC, Samsung, Sony and LG duke it out for the title of most-coveted Android flagship phone, the middle and lower end of the market is populated by just as many companies keen to snap up budget-conscious buyers with low-cost devices.

Great design, Good camera for this price, Expandable storage, Loud stereo speakers, Good screen

Low internal storage, Occasionally sluggish processor, No upgrade to Android Lollipop likely

Cheap, cheerful and packing a decent HD screen and 13 megapixel camera, the Liquid E3 is a good budget option, provided you can live with its less positive aspects
