Asus ROG Phone

Thanks to an overclocked processor and a big, responsive display, the Asus ROG is an excellent Android phone for gamers.

Overclocked Snapdragon 845 processor delivers solid performance. Gorgeous 90Hz AMOLED display for immersive gaming experience.

Poor battery life. Divisive design. Awkward fingerprint sensor placement.

If you're in the market for a gaming phone, the Asus ROG Phone is the one to get, with the best balance of hardware and features for hardcore mobile gamers. For casual gamers, however, the phone may be overkill. The OnePlus6T has excellent specs for...

Asus' new phone is the best way to play games on Android

Thanks to its thoughtful design innovations, the Asus ROG Phone almost feels like a portable console.

The Asus ROG Phone has innovative AirTriggers to expand game control beyond the screen, excellent battery life and a ton of optional gaming accessories.

It costs $100 more than the Razer Phone 2 and the design might be too out there for some. The screen was too dim in some situations and the detachable fan unit is just asking to be lost.

Let there be no doubt: this is a serious gaming phone. Nongamers should look at the Pixel 3, OnePlus 6 or Galaxy Note 9 instead.

Asus ROG Phone review: Too much gamer in one phone

In the growing space of 'gaming phones' the ASUS ROG Phone misses the mark.

Beautiful 90Hz AMOLED screen ; Fast and smooth hardware ; All the ports you could ever need and more!

The gamer aesthetic is laid on too thick inside and out ; Uncomfortable to hold in daily use ; The software is an eyesore

When the ROG Phone was announced I was excited. Being a gamer means I can appreciate silly things like RGB logos and active cooling—even on my phone. When improvements like front-firing speakers and high-refresh-rate screens improve daily use as well...

ASUS ROG Phone Smartphone Review

Let's ROG Stop Zen! After years of calm, ASUS has blown the mobile gaming world open with its first smartphone. The ROG Phone has more up its sleeve than a fast processor, plenty of RAM and energetic marketing material. ASUS has integrated trigger...

Trigger buttons in the frame ; Dock connector ; Cooler (included) ; Snapdragon 845 ; 8GB RAM ; USB 3.1 Type-C ; Dual-SIM ; front-firing stereo speakers ; dual camera ; Aura RGB logo ; bright display ; Gorilla Glass 6 ; Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 ; decent...

slow Wi-Fi ; short battery life ; non-expandable storage ; no VoLTE ; comparatively low display resolution ; heavy ; expensive

ASUS has set new standards with its ROG Phone, although the first generation has room for improvement. The company has gone all out with the ROG Phone’s gaming accessories, which are rather expensive. Moreover, its 90 Hz display is ideal for gaming,...

Asus ROG Phone Review

We spent some quality time with the ROG Phone to see if Asus could properly marry its gaming traditions with its smartphone strengths to make the best gaming phone yet.

Great gaming performance and experience ; Cooling fan included and does its job well ; Camera performance that doesn’t compromise and competes well at this price-point ; Cool design that’s both fun and serious ; Offers a bunch of fun and useful...

Air Triggers, while responsive, are ergonomically hard to utilize ; Most accessories are quite expensive ; Low-light photos can get a bit noisy

Asus ROG Phone II hands-on review: a gamer phone with highs score potential | AndroidPIT

It's time to buckle up, because with the new ROG Phone 2, Asus wants to tease more people into mobile gaming. Here's how it plans to do it.

The ROG Phone II will be a love or hate thing, I imagine. Anyone who wants to buy it and use it permanently will certainly see the smartphone primarily as a gaming and entertainment device. The possibility to make phone calls and send SMS is just a...

Asus' ROG Phone Is the Dumb Fun RGB Handset Gamers Deserve

A lot of people still aren't convinced gaming phones are something that should even exist. But if there was one phone that might be able to sway peoples' opinions, it'd be Asus' Republic of Gamer (or ROG) Phone. In fact, based on some recent corporate...

Asus ROG Strix Flare Review

The Asus ROG Strix Flare is a gaming keyboard with the high price we expect – but the kind of subtle design that's rare in this part of the market. This £140 / $180 unit has smart looks, customisable options and RGB LEDs, and it uses familiar CherryMX...

The Asus ROG Strix Flare is excellent. The CherryMX Red switches provide a superb base for every kind of game. They’ll handle work as well thanks to the supremely satisfying typing action.
