Asus Zenfone 4 review

Good audio performance can't rescue the ZenFone 4 from its frustrating software.

Audio performance is excellent ; Reasonably priced

Frustrating software ; Performance can be sluggish ; Disappointing camera

Frustrating software made us lose our calm with the ZenFone 4, which is a shame when other aspects like the battery and audio performance are great for a phone at this price.

Asus Zenfone 4

Is it hit, miss or maybe for Asus' Moto G rival?

Decent internal storage at the price, Fair day-to-day performance, Colourful design, Feature-packed camera app

Rubbish battery life, Non-IPS screen, Interface fiddly in places

Asus ZenFone 4 review

Zen and the art of smartphone design

Competent main camera ; Premium Metal and glass build ; Decent gaming performance

Power a bit lacking for the cash ; Beefy bezels

Probably doesn't signal the start of an Asus assault on our phone-buying habits, but the ZenFone 4 is perfectly potent - if a little too stuck in its ways when it comes to software

Asus Zenfone 4 review: One of the best low-cost smartphones you can buy - Tech2

. Does the Zenfone 4 put up the same show in the budget category? Read our detailed review to find out.

The Asus Zenfone 4 packs lots of features into a tiny package. But the budget price means that the phone has cut corners, which is evident in the low-resolution display and underpowered processor and camera. Yet, there’s lots to like about the Zenfone...

Asus Zenfone 4 (2017) Review: Serious OnePlus 5 rival?

We review the Asus Zenfone 4 (2017 model), a feature-packed OnePlus 5 rival packing a dual-lens camera and limited performance

Nice design ; Feature packed ; Flexible camera tech ; Long battery life

Unintuitive software ; Underpowered

The Zenfone 4 is one of the best smartphones that Asus has launched to date and it’s great to see the company’s handsets hitting the UK with gusto. However, can the manufacturer best known for its laptops and computing gear really do enough to sway...

Asus ZenFone 4 review

The ZenFone range was originally unveiled during CES 2014 in January, but have only just been introduced to the UK. The ZenFone 4 is available to order from Asus now for a bargain £99.

For £99, we're impressed by the ZenFone 4. It's nicely designed, has brilliant software features, is suitably speedy and has decent battery life, but it's not outstanding. We'd like to see a slightly better camera and the addition of 4G connectivity....

Asus ZenFone 4 hands-on review

From our very limited time with the device we were actually surprised with its performance. Other smartphones in the ZenFone 4's price range are incredibly laggy to use; while this smartphone wasn't lightening quick, we didn't really experience any...

The Asus ZenFone 4 has the makings of a really good budget Android smartphone, it's got an incredibly cheap price tag and a good set of specs, if the device remains unlaggy in the long-term, like it did when we used the phone then it should be very...

Asus ZenFone 4 Max offers dual-cameras for less

But with their low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processors, the ZenFone 4 Max and Max Pro phones don't offer much else.

ASUS ZenFone 4 Max review: Is a big battery enough?

The ZenFone 4 Max is the entry-level phone in ASUS' huge ZenFone 4 lineup and, like its name suggests, emphasizes battery life over everything else thanks to a huge 4,100mAh battery. But is it any good? We find out.

Great battery life

Generic plastic build;Secondary rear camera not worth using; No ac Wi-Fi;No NFC;Fingerprint scanner doesn't double as a power button;Expensive for what you get
