Google's showcase of how Android should look and feel.

No fingerprint, thus biometric authorization not available in some apps, gimmicky radar-based gestures.

To sum it all up, if you happen to see the Pixel 4's price slashed at a time when you're looking for a phone, by all means, get one. But pursue it at all costs, at full retail? We don't think so.

There's no denying the Pixel 4 has one of the best cameras around. But with limited storage and plenty of affordable alternatives, it's pricey for what it is.

The Pixel 4's dual rear cameras take brilliant photos and its display's high refresh rate makes navigating silky smooth. The phone will get prompt software updates and its face unlock works really fast.

The phone doesn't come with earbuds, it has no expandable storage option and its battery life is mediocre.

The Pixel 4 has one of the best cameras around, but it's expensive given its limited amount of storage. If you want more storage and a comparable camera, consider the OnePlus 7T or Galaxy S10, or the Pixel 3, which is only $500 right now.

So should you go out and buy a Pixel 4 right now? No, you should not. Even if the Pixel 6 isn't to your liking when it is announced, there are still plenty of other Pixel options for you to choose from that don't have the Pixel 4's shortcomings.
