Google Pixel 4 review

It wasn't with much excitement that we met the reveal of the Pixel 4 duo - Google's lack of effort to contain early leaks meant that not only were the...

Google's showcase of how Android should look and feel.

No fingerprint, thus biometric authorization not available in some apps, gimmicky radar-based gestures.

To sum it all up, if you happen to see the Pixel 4's price slashed at a time when you're looking for a phone, by all means, get one. But pursue it at all costs, at full retail? We don't think so.

Google Pixel 4 review: Smooth, but lacking stamina

The Google Pixel 4 is a slick, smooth, charmer of a smartphone, but it may run out of steam before you do. In this Pixel 4 review, you'll find a deep dive into the new software tricks, air gestures, and the wonderful camera, but there are flaws here in...

Camera is excellent ; Silky smooth display ; Snappy performance ; Software smarts

There's no denying the Pixel 4 has one of the best cameras around. But with limited storage and plenty of affordable alternatives, it's pricey for what it is.

The Pixel 4's dual rear cameras take brilliant photos and its display's high refresh rate makes navigating silky smooth. The phone will get prompt software updates and its face unlock works really fast.

The phone doesn't come with earbuds, it has no expandable storage option and its battery life is mediocre.

The Pixel 4 has one of the best cameras around, but it's expensive given its limited amount of storage. If you want more storage and a comparable camera, consider the OnePlus 7T or Galaxy S10, or the Pixel 3, which is only $500 right now.

Google Pixel 4

The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL offer powerful hardware, innovative software that actually makes your life easier, and the best cameras you'll find on a flagship phone line.

Attractive design. 90Hz display. Class-leading cameras. Live Caption and Recorder are excellent accessibility additions.

Not enough storage options.

The Google Pixel 4 is an Android lover's dream and a clear Editors' Choice. It features a gorgeous design, powerful hardware, a 90Hz OLED display, terrific camera performance, and genuinely useful software that make getting things done easier than...

Google Pixel 4 Review: Self-Sabotage

I wanted to love the Pixel 4, but instead I can only bring myself to like it, and if it sounds like I'm being demanding then you may not have been keeping up with smartphones in 2019. Apple's iPhones are the best they have been in years, there are...

Camera technology is capable of incredible results ; 90Hz OLED screens are smooth and beautiful ; Android 10 runs fast ; Face Unlock is incredibly quick ; Recorder app is offline dictation witchcraft

Battery life ranges from underwhelming to just plain bad ; No ultra wide camera ; Motion Sense feels gimmicky for now ; G Suite users miss out on key features ; 64GB of storage is miserly

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL Review

New year, new Pixel phones. Following their predecessors, this year's Pixel 4 and 4 XL pack quite a punch with their new dual cameras backed by refreshed Super Res Zoom and Night Sight to deliver even better results...

Premium build quality and feel; Excellent cameras with useful software additions; Clear, crisp display; Fast, accurate face unlock; Smarter Google Assistant and local computing

Large top bezel doesn't look pretty; Only 64GB base storage; Battery life is good but not great; Motion Sense is intuitive but limited as of yet

Google Pixel 4 review: Solid camera, but poor battery and cellular performance kill it for business Review | ZDNet

Google Pixel phones are known for advanced camera software, but this single feature cannot carry the Pixel 4 to success. There are many other elements important to business use that are just not present on the Pixel 4.

Latest Android software ; Excellent camera software ; High quality design, fit, and finish

Limited storage options ; High price for specs ; Limited MotionSense gestures ; Lacks ultra wide-angle camera ; Poor cellular reception ; Poor battery life

Google Pixel 4 review

With intuitive Face Unlock, a smooth 90Hz display and capable dual cameras, Google's flagship seems like a winner. But poor battery life holds it back, as our Pixel 4 review demonstrates.

Class-leading cameras ; Smooth 90Hz refresh rate ; Effective Face Unlock ; Clever AI software features

Disappointing battery life ; Dim display ; Motion Sense gestures need work ; No unlimited photo storage at original quality

So should you go out and buy a Pixel 4 right now? No, you should not. Even if the Pixel 6 isn't to your liking when it is announced, there are still plenty of other Pixel options for you to choose from that don't have the Pixel 4's shortcomings.
