Google Pixel 6 review: Don’t overlook the cheaper Pixel

The Pixel 6 may be cheaper than the Pixel 6 Pro, but don't dismiss it. This is still an excellent phone with a great camera, as we found out in our review.

Great camera ; Screen is colorful and vibrant ; Latest Android 12 software ; Years of software updates

Flakey connectivity ; Fast charger not included

“The Pixel 6 may be flatter and cheaper than the Pixel 6 Pro, but the software, performance, and even the screen and camera get close enough to still make it tempting.”

Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are bigger, better, and smarter

This is what we get when Google tries.

Snappy performance ; Smooth screen ; Great battery life ; Excellent camera ; Excellent value

Only comes in Big ; Slow fingerprint scanner ; Very slippery

Google’s new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are a reset of its smartphone ambitions, and they have new designs, new processors, new cameras, and new capabilities. They are some of the best phones you can buy right now.

Pixel 6 review: The best Android value ever

The Pixel 6 is a natural evolution of Google's value phones

Excellent software support ; Unique AI software features ; Bright 90Hz display ; Affordable price ; 30W fast charging

Unproven processor ; No telephoto lens

Google Pixel 6 Review

Our Google Pixel 6 Review is separate from that of the 6 Pro because they are two very different devices. Different not in their presentation of Android – there they're quite similar. D…

Unique and exciting hardware and software design ; Android 12 runs smoothly & gets latest Google features ; Great camera performance ; Battery life holds up to all-day use ; Wireless and reverse charging

No headphone jack ; Charging plug sold separate ; Confusing 5G coverage ; Glass design is slippery without case

Google Pixel 6 review: big brain, small price

The Google Pixel 6 is a very affordable Android flagship that kind of trumps over the competition. Worth a buy? Looks like it!

Great price to value ; Good-looking OLED screen with 90 Hz refresh ; Great camera ; Android 12 runs fast and smooth ; Smart features and exclusive Assistant functions

Speakers are thin-ish ; Android 12 needs some polish in presentation ; Tensor chip is smart but not a super-performer

Google Pixel 6 review: Worth every penny

The Google Pixel 6 would be one of the best Android phones, even without the low price tag. Learn more in our full Google Pixel 6 review.

The Google Pixel 6 represents a lot of things for Google. It’s a shift away from the “specs aren’t that important” mindset that’s followed the company around since the Nexus days. It’s yet more proof that Google can make a damn good phone for well...

Google Pixel 6 review

The Google Pixel 6 delivers the best Android experience for the money with superb cameras, a unique design and Android 12. But there's some flaws compared to the best from Samsung and Apple.

Tensor chip adds smarts to the phone ; Excellent photo-editing features ; Android 12 is a welcome update ; Unique design ; Great price

Slow fingerprint sensor ; Battery life can be short over 5G ; Some color issues with photos

Between the new capabilities introduced by both Tensor and Android 12, though, the Pixel 6 is definitely a contender to become your next phone. Android fans who want the best out of Google's software would do well to consider an upgrade to the latest...

Google Pixel 6 review

Google's Pixel 6 is an exceptional Android flagship – and it is affordable too!

Natural, reliable photo processing ; Impressive performance to price balance ; Uncluttered Android experience

Much larger than Pixel 5 ; Battery weak at first, then improves ; Ultra-wide lens is fixed-focus

The no-frills Pixel 6 misses out on the telephoto lens of the 6 Pro, and its design and screen aren’t quite as special, but it also costs a lot less while packing most of the same internals. It also enjoys an impressive primary camera, as well as an...
