HTC S710

The HTC S710's dual keyboards and small form factor make it unique among smartphones.

Striking sliding design. Comfortable QWERTY keyboard. Very bright screen. Includes built-in Wi-Fi.

No 3G. Slow CPU. Not the best voice quality.

HTC Vox S710 (unlocked) review

When HTC unveiled the HTC S720 (the CDMA variant of the Vox) at CTIA 2007 , we couldn't help but be disappointed that it was being released in Canada first. And here we are, four months later and still no signs of a U.S. release--though the company has...

The HTC Vox S710 boasts a best-of-breed design that packs a full QWERTY keyboard into a compact slider design. The Windows Mobile 6 smart phone also offers excellent call quality, solid talk time battery life, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and a 2-megapixel...

The S710 doesn't support 3G, and the camera delivers off-colored photos. The device can be sluggish at times, especially with numerous applications open.

The HTC Vox S710 is an outstanding smart phone that brings a solid set of features and good performance into one sleek device; only the inclusion of 3G support could make this smart phone better.

HTC S710 (Vox) Review

Coming from HTC, one of the most prestigious manufacturers of Windows Mobile devices, the S710 is actually the first smartphone released by the Taiwanese producer featuring Windows Mobile 6 Standard. The main novelty brought by the device is the full...

The most important feature brought by the S710 is the sliding keyboard which can greatly decrease the time needed for composing emails, writing text messages, or talking via instant messaging networks. With time being such a limited resource, anything...

On the negative side, I have to mention the lack of 3G, so those who are looking for high speed Internet connectivity are at a loss here (though Wi-Fi can somewhat compensate for it). Other drawback of the smartphone is the slow 200 Mhz processor,...

Review: HTC S710 (Vox)

Way back when I first unboxed the HTC S710 (aka the HTC Vox), a reader commented that my voice sounded giddy. Indeed, I was giddy. The s710 was (and

Candy Bar form-factor (if you like that), Windows Mobile 6, Audio Manager for music, Great Camera

Keyboard, Battery life only decent, not great as advertised, EDGE only

What you think of the S710 comes down to a matter of context. If your context is a text-heavy email phone, the keyboard just isn't going to be satisfying to long-time smartphone users. But if you put it in the context of candybar smartphones, the S710...

HTC S710 (Vox) smartphone

The HTC S710 is an impressive phone. This Windows Mobile 6 based smartphone packs a lot of features in a relatively small candybar-shaped design. The S710 has a very large and good LCD display, WiFi support, a spring-loaded QWERTY keyboard, a 2...

The HTC S710 (Vox) Quick Review

As a person who is constantly looking for the next best device for business use, it amazes me that no one came up with this design before HTC did. A quote straight from PhoneArena.Com says it all:  The HTC S710 is the most compact messaging phone with...

HTC S710

HTC does only one thing, they produce cellular devices, and luckily for the HTC 710 they do that one thing extremely well. The HTC 710 not only provides its users with all the features of the newly released Windows Mobile 6.0, it does so in a design...

HTC VOX S710 with WM6 Standard

It's a crazy world out there. Our Smartphones are suddently called "Standard", and keyboards are sliding open from all parts of our devices

Unique form factor with QWERTY slide-out ; Sleek design ; Windows Mobile 6 Standard ; Excellent number pad ; Big, bright screen ; Good camera

No 3G ; Painfully slow screen rotation ; QWERTY keys are small ; The front is a fingerprint magnet ; Proprietary audio port ; Inferior speakerphone

I was excited to write this review. The Vox S710 is the kind of device that gets attention wherever it goes. My favorite is showing the device to a friend, and after they're slightly impressed by the nice screen and chrome surrounding - BAM! - I slide...
