HTC Status review

For many smartphone users, a quality keyboard is the only feature that truly matters. These passionate devotees will proudly live and die with their

Excellent keyboard ; Facebook integration is fun and useful ; Reasonable price

Sense is buggy and lacks polish ; Many third-party apps won't display properly ; Disappointing battery life

While the Status can be fun and offers a quality keyboard, the software makes typing a pain. What's more, several apps don't display correctly on that tiny screen.

HTC Status (AT&T)

The Android-based HTC Status, America's first "Facebook phone," opens up a big social world through too tiny a window.

Beautiful hardware. Terrific keyboard. Dedicated Facebook button makes accessing the world's most-popular social network easy.

Slow. Tiny, cramped screen. Incompatible with many third-party apps. Difficult battery cover.

Excellent form-factor with great keyboard, beautiful Sense UI really extends the usefulness of this device, affordably priced, great build quality and design, excellent social network integration

Display is too small for some tastes, not a 4G device, we experienced frequent Force Close errors

HTC ChaCha Review

A touchscreen with a QWERTY keypad the HTC ChaCha certainly tries to cover all possible angles, but does the inclusion of multiple input methods guarantee a good device? A good looking and nice phone for an Android lover looking for a good keypad,...

Excellent QWERTY keypad and angled design makes typing more comfortable, Well built

Battery life is a disappointment, Facebook button doesnt do much

HTC Status Review by Sydney

Currently, there are over 750 million active users on Facebook and more than 250 million of those users access Facebook from their mobile device. For you 250+ million users, HTC and AT&T have just the phone for you, the HTC Status, a.k.a. The Facebook...

Excellent keyboard; Facebook button is very handy; customized version of HTC Sense works very well on the small display; good build quality; decent battery life

Inconsistent 3G data speeds; poor camera quality; some apps only work in portrait mode, making it uncomfortable to use those apps

The Status may be a mid-range Android smartphone, but in a lot of ways, it doesn't act like one. HTC's customizations for the small display are excellent, the keyboard is one of the best I've used, and the dedicated Facebook button is extremely easy...
