HTC Trophy (Verizon Wireless)

The HTC Trophy, Verizon's first Windows Phone 7, isn't a standout, but it will satisfy people who find Android's interface too complex.

Easy to use. Feels solid. Good voice performance.

Poor camera. Battery life could be better.

Conclusions The HTC Trophy is a pleasantly unassuming device that makes a terrific first smartphone, or a step up from a BlackBerry for someone who doesn't feel like doing all of the furniture-arranging that comes with the Android experience. The...

HTC Trophy

The HTC Trophy ($150 with a new two-year contract) is the first Windows Phone 7 device on Verizon, and it does a pretty good job of showing off what the platform is all about. The Trophy is great for handling multimedia, but the phone feels dated next...

Good multimedia capabilities ; Responsive touchscreen

Network speeds are inconsistent ; Hardware is a bit dated

The HTC Trophy is a solid alternative for anyone who doesn't want an iPhone or Android device.

HTC Trophy Review: A Windows Phone for Verizon

Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 OS is finally here on the Verizon network in the form of the HTC Trophy, and the phone itself is a solid piece of hardware that provides a generally enjoyable user experience.

Good call quality ; Xbox Live games ; Excells at graphically-intensive games

No Adobe Flash support

Verizon and Microsoft may have taken their sweet time getting the Windows Phone 7 platform to Big Red customers, but people should be glad that the wait is over. Though the platform has its quirks — some of which will be addressed in the upcoming Mango...

HTC Trophy first impressions

A solid if uninspiring Windows Phone 7 handset

is perhaps the biggest problem HTC has with its Trophy Windows Phone 7 handset.

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Great phone! Very easy to use. Love the windows o/s.

This phone does everything I need and then some. I absolutely love the stability and ease of use. I realize that the Windows o/s isn't as popular as Android but I honestly don't understand why. I have heard horror stories from others with Android...

Easy to use right out of the box. Have had zero glitches or unexpected shutdowns. Extremely stable phone and call quality is excellent.

The only complaint I would have would be about battery life but I purchased the extended battery and it eliminated the problem. I only charge my phone 2X per week on average.
