And it gets bigger. After much confusion, Huawei announced that it would be releasing the Mate 20 X in Austria and Germany. The giant 7.2-inch phone has now arrived at our offices and is ready to put through its paces. Read on to find out whether this...

huge screen ; fast Wi-Fi ; Bluetooth 5.0 ; good cameras ; Dual-SIM LTE

nano memory card ; PWM display flickering

The Huawei Mate 20 X has the same qualities as the other Mate 20 models that we have already come to love. The giant smartphone has excellent system and storage performance, while its cameras are first-class. Moreover, the OLED screen is impressive, as...

Huawei Mate 20 X review: Android gaming, super-sized

Huawei's 7.2-inch behemoth is an all-round media monster, but its much-touted gaming credentials come up short where it counts.

Enormous 7.2-inch display ; 1-2 day battery life ; Clever rear camera

Mediocre gaming performance and features ; Proprietary memory card ; Average selfie camera

Huawei Mate 20 X review: it takes a little getting used to | AndroidPIT

After reviewing two devices from Huawei's new Mate family, it's time to get a closer look at the biggest of the three: the Huawei Mate 20 X.

The Huawei Mate 20 X is a great smartphone for those who spend so much time in front of the smartphone to play or see multimedia content, perhaps during their travels by plane or train. With the huge amount of screen available you can enjoy the best of...

Huawei introduces 7.2 inch Mate 20 X

Say you had your eye on the new smartphone, but you're disappointed that the screen is just 6.4 inches. Huawei's got you covered.

Huawei says the Mate 20 X will be available starting October 26th. A model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will sell for 899 Euros (about $1,040).

Huawei Mate 20 X Review | Trusted Reviews

The Huawei Mate 20 X was a surprise addition to the Mate 20 family that brings a vast 7.2-inch display and a gaming focus to the scene.

Solid performance ; Decent camera ; Great battery life

It’s a giant ; Benefits of GPU Turbo 2.0 are niche ; Not enough game-centric features to justify branding

It may not be able to take on the Nintendo Switch, but it's a good phone nonetheless.

Hands on: Huawei Mate 20 X review

Huawei's super-sized gaming-phone

Excellent camera setup ; Plenty of power ; Big screen great for games

Huge in the hand ; Low level water resistance

The Huawei Mate 20 X is a great smartphone for those looking to game or binge Netflix on the move, but for many it will simply be too big. The Huawei Mate 20 X is a great smartphone for those looking to game or binge Netflix on the move, with a huge...

Huawei Mate 20 X & Mate 20 X 5G review: The Godzilla of phones

Yep, it's a 7.2in phone. Or maybe you want to call it a small tablet. Or Godzilla. Whatever: the Mate 20 X is an impressive media powerhouse.

Big screen is fantastic for media and gaming ; Battery life is really phenomenal (less so in 5G model) ; Speedy and smooth performance ; Small notch

Some software foibles ; Consistency across all cameras ; No in-screen fingerprint scanner ; It's really big for a phone

If you're looking for a two-handed mega-sized phone then the Mate 20 X is a genuinely fantastic media powerhouse. It has a great (and, yes, massive) screen, further enhanced by great audio, and the battery just goes on and on whatever you throw at it.

Huawei Mate 20 X

The Huawei Mate 20 X is an obscenely large smartphone but it has many of the features of the Mate 20 Pro for less. Here's our full review of the huge premium smartphone.

Huawei Mate 20 X review: Making it big in China (perhaps too big)

Powerful and with an excellent set of cameras, but the Mate 20 X will be a tough sell thanks to its ludicrous size

As powerful as the Mate 20 Pro, but cheaper ; Best in class camera performance ; A battery that goes on and on

Too big, even for a fan of big phones ; 1080p resolution, despite the screen size ; Recent revocation of Android licence means future is uncertain
