Kyocera DuraForce XD (AT&T)

 

If you're in the market for an ultra-rugged smartphone, the Kyocera DuraForce XD is your best (and only) big-screen option on AT&T.

Rugged build. Usable with gloves. Big removable battery and expandable storage. Very loud speaker.

Screen isn't very bright or sharp. Lackluster camera performance.

Software and Conclusions The DuraForce XD runs Android 5.1 Lollipop , and it's unlikely that it will ever see Android 6.0 Marshmallow , let alone the upcoming Android N . Dated software aside, at the phone is running a mostly stock build of Android....
