LG Genesis (U.S. Cellular)

The LG Genesis offers U.S. Cellular subscribers more screen and keyboard than any other Android smartphone.

Substantial, high-resolution external and internal screens. Excellent, five-row QWERTY keyboard. Fast CPU.

Bulky. Middling voice quality. Lots of bloatware. Camera takes pink-tinted photos.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions Software issues aside, the Genesis makes a fine musical box. A standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack sits near the top of the right edge. LG throws in a cheap pair of wired stereo earbuds and an 8GB microSD card to get...

LG Genesis Review: Dual-Display Goodness

The LG Genesis is an Android-based smartphone with an innovate design featuring two touchscreens and a large keyboard. Jen Edwards brings us a review of this device from U.S. Cellular.

Good, usable keyboard ; Excellent voice quality ; Good camera ; Excellent battery life ; Excellent voice quality

Low Benchmark scores ; Poor camera zoom

I really had to look for negatives to use in the Cons section of this review, and that’s not always the case. It’s a solid performer at a good price, and definitely worth considering if you’re in U.S. Cellular’s coverage area.

LG Genesis Review: Dual-Display Goodness

It is currently available for $150 with a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year service contract. Upgrade eligible U.S. Cellular customers on Belief plans can also qualify for promotional pricing on this phone without having to extend their contract

Good, usable keyboard ; Excellent voice quality ; Good camera for landscapes and portraits ; Excellent battery life ; Excellent voice quality

Benchmark scores lower than many other phones ; Camera zoom functionality leaves something to be desired

Even with heavier use, there's no problem at all getting through a normal day, though i wouldn't go on a trip much more than two or three days without at least packing the charger, even if it's not something you need to use every single night

LG Genesis First Look Review: Two Screens Are Better than One

It is currently available for $150 with a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year service contract. A voice and data plan is also required

The LG Genesis is based on Android OS 2.2 and has a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. It feels speedy and responsive, though I will be running some benchmark tests for comparison for the full review. The Genesis comes with 416MB of available space in...
