Nokia 700 preview: First look

Good stuff coming from Nokia lately but there's always room for more. We like to be surprised and the Nokia 700 does just that. Instead of quietly falling in line behind the obvious leader, the 1GHz Symbian Belle powered Nokia 701, the Nokia 700 puts...

Nokia 700 Review

You could easily make a case against the Nokia 700 . Launched on the eve of Nokia's Windows Phone drive, but running the oft-maligned Symbian , on paper the 700 has "too little, too late" written all over it. Still, Symbian may be on its way out, but...

We admit it, we were ready to move on from Symbian. The platform still has its fans, but underwhelming usability in comparison to Android and iOS saw otherwise impressive devices like the N8 and E7 fail to meet the mark. With Symbian Belle, though, it...

Nokia 700 Review

Dubbed the company's most compact smartphone to date in terms of cubic inches overall, the Nokia 700 is indeed a neatly packed tiny handset running the new Symbian Belle. The phone has a pretty good laundry list of specs for its price point, and should...

Nokia 700 Review

The Nokia 700 does well on the spec sheet - 1GHz processor, 2GB internal storage space and an excellent AMOLED display. And all this in a very slim yet solidly built form factor. While has the UI familiarity aspect with previous gen builds, Symbian...

Slim design, Solid build quality, Excellent AMOLED display, UI isn't very different from previous Symbian versions

Looks very similar to the archaic Symbian Anna, On-screen keypad isn't very comfortable, Social networking integration remains very poor

Nokia 700 Preview: An Early Look

The Nokia 700 is one of the three Nokia Symbian Belle handsets launched a couple weeks ago, following the new Nokia Naming Convention, in a tiny, super slim little package, boasting a 1Ghz processor.

The Nokia 700 is a very well designed little device. It's not boasting the latest tech, but with features like NFC and that gorgeous AMOLED ClearBlack display, its not exactly a slouch of a phone either.

Nokia 700 smartphone

Nokia 700 review: A superbly crafted smartphone that looks and feels slick

Great build quality and design ; Bright and clear screen ; Slick and easy to use

Tiny on-screen keyboard ; Small screen ; Limited third-party apps

The Nokia 700 is a fantastically well built phone with a crystal clear screen. The small display makes text messaging and Web browsing inferior to alternatives, and third-party apps are limited compared to the competition, but the Nokia 700 remains a...

Nokia 700

Nokia claims it's the smallest smartphone ever. Is that because there's nothing to the 700?

Excellent screen, Great build quality, Comprehensive video support

Limited app support, Ropey camera, Symbian OS is still limited

Nokia 700 review

The thin Nokia 700 is certainly a tiny smartphone, but is it packing much hardware in that skinny frame?

Beautifully crisp and responsive ClearBlack screen ; Sleek, discreet design and comfortable in the hand ; Solid, quality build ; Wi-Fi and 3G ; Symbian Belle is quick and didn't lag

No social networking integration ; QWERTY touchscreen keyboard is a little difficult to use in portrait mode ; Lacks really decent apps in the Ovi store ; Screen's a tad too small ; Unable to use your own headset

Nokia 700

If you ever needed evidence that the mighty can fall, then take a look at Nokia. A firm that was unstoppable until the iPhone was launched, it has since faltered and stumbled at every step. Or so it seems to some commentators. Perhaps the firm ignored...

Lovely hardware, small and light, great screen, superb call quality, microSD slot, great battery life

Too small for larger human fingers, camera is rubbish

The 700 isn't perfect, but it's a reasonably likable phone. If you're app mad, then you'll want to avoid it. If you're looking for a good, solid phone, then it's probably idea.
