Nokia 8110 4G Cell Phone Review

Texting like in the olden days! After the 3310 the Nokia 8110 4G is HMD Global's second retro cell phone. The bananaphone is much better equipped and even connects to 4G/LTE networks. Find out whether it is capable of more than just delighting...

sturdy and classy design ; decent call quality ; VoLTE ; expandable memory ; great standby battery life ; FM radio

mediocre display ; poor camera ; Google Apps largely useless ; somewhat complicated operation

Bringing back the Nokia 8110 is certainly a noteworthy coup even though it will not make anyone ditch their smartphones in favor of the bananaphone. It is much more likely for it to serve as a secondary device. Its benefits include long standby battery...

Nokia 8110 4G first look

Nokia 8110 4G review

The Matrix banana phone is making a comeback

Nostalgic blast, now with 4G ; Huge battery life ; Low price

Basic functionality ; Smartphones aren't much more ; Difficult shape for pocket

Another nostalgic blast from the past is served up with the 8110 4G, and if you loved the slider phones of old you'll likely have a soft spot for this. If you're after an inexpensive second/emergency phone though, there are better options out there.

Nokia 8110 4G review: The Matrix “banana phone” is back

Nokia's iconic feature phone was made famous by its appearance in The Matrix. Twenty years on, is it still the baddest phone on the block?

Cheap ; Iconic design ; Doubles up as a fidget spinner

No touchscreen ; Slow user interface ; Keyboard slider not spring-loaded

Nokia 8110 4G

Following on from the 3310, Nokia has reimagined the 8110 into a modern budget 4G phone. Now you can be like Neo in The Matrix but use Facebook and make calls over LTE. We've been hands-on at MWC 2018.
