Nokia Lumia 625 review: Big and colorful

The Nokia Lumia 625 is one of the last smartphones by Nokia, putting an end to what has been a bumpy ride for the Finns in the modern phone era. Whether the Lumia line will find greener pastures under Microsoft remains to be seen, but one thing's for...

Quad-band GSM support ; Tri-band 3G and LTE support with 42 Mbps HSDPA and 5.7 Mbps HSUPA ; 4.7" 16M-color IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 480 x 800 pixels with Gorilla Glass 2 ; 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording @...

4.7" quite a stretch for the WVGA resolution ; App catalog falls short of Android and iOS ; Non-user-accessible battery ; Only 512MB of RAM ; No system-wide file manager ; No NFC ; Below average loudspeaker performance

We have no choice but to put aside the Microsoft deal, the value of stock and the aftershocks in our evaluation. Simply put, the Nokia Lumia 625 has the timing - but not the substance - of a swan song.

Nokia Lumia 625 review

A classic, colorful Lumia that offers LTE for a reasonable price. But, its obvious flaws mean it could've been so much better.

4G-capable ; Good battery life ; Inexpensive ; Pleasing design, comfortable to hold

Disappointing display ; Only 512MB of RAM ; Average camera

So, does Nokia need another budget Lumia? Well, yes. We get what the company was trying to achieve with the Lumia 625: 4G on a shoestring. In that respect, mission accomplished. We can't help but feel, though, that Nokia hasn't quite nailed the niche...

Big-Screen Blunder

While it may not compare to the likes of a Samsung Galaxy Mega , the 4.7-inch Lumia 625 world phone is still one of the larger-screened phones in Nokia's lineup. It's too bad all that real estate only showcases the phone's shortcomings. First problem?...

Nokia Lumia 625 review

The Nokia Lumia 625 is neither a premium or budget device, but instead a little bit of both.

The Nokia Lumia 625's 4.7-inch screen makes for effortless viewing, and the $300 price tag its wallet-friendly for an unlocked phone. Depending on your area, it also supports LTE.

For a phone of its size, the Lumia 625's too-low resolution is fuzzy and dull compared to premium Lumias. The 625's 5-megapixel camera struggles taking photos in the shade.

Despite a few faults, the Lumia 625’s smooth, higher-end design and solid performance make it a great value for the price.

Review Nokia Lumia 625 Smartphone

The new mid-range. No matter if entry-level or high-end smartphon

Sturdy, high-quality case; Fast internet via LTE; Video recording in 1080p resolution; Intuitive operation of Windows Phone 8; Memory expandable via SD card; Good battery runtimes

Highly reflective display; Only 5 GB memory space; No replaceable battery

Nokia has no weak links in the Lumia series: The Lumia 625 comes with great handling, equipment and performance.

Nokia Lumia 625 Review

The newest member of the Lumia family is colorful like all its other peers and brings a spacious 4.7-inch display…

Largest display in a Nokia Lumia phone so far ; Mostly smooth performance

Feels overpriced compared to similar Android devices ; Screen lacks sharpness, hard to read outdoors ; Average camera

The Nokia Lumia 625 comes with a fairly large 4.7” display and 4G LTE on a budget, but there are a few things that hold it down. We like the smooth performance and the fun colors, but the low-res display seems out of place on today’s market. Moreover,...

Nokia Lumia 625 Review: Big screen, small specs, low price

Summary: Nokia released their largest display Windows Phone device. However, the affordable price comes at a cost to the internal capabilities.

Nokia Lumia 625 - Affordable Big-Screen Windows Phone

Nokia targets the mass market with the Lumia 625 which comes with a 4.7-inch display, 4G LTE connectivity, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a microSD card slot and a very affordable price tag. Will the Nokia Lumia 625 sway consumers over to the Windows Phone...

Good design and handling ; Decent battery life ; Smooth performance

Low display resolution ; Imaging quality could be better

The upcoming battle for mobile supremacy will center around the entry-level to mid-range segments where the market is estimated to consist about 500 million customers. Is the Nokia Lumia 625 the budget smartphone that these customers are looking for?

Review: Nokia Lumia 625

Nokia is on something of a roll. Of late, the company's been churning out models at a bit of a rapid clip, including the 1020 megapixel-heavy wonder and the high-end 925. And now it's seen fit to unleash the Lumia 625 – the current giant in the Lumia...

But the rest of the phone isn’t chopped liver, far from it: this is a decent performer sold at a really good price, and the inclusion of LTE makes the decision almost a no-brainer. Just make sure to give the phone a spin first, and make sure that you...

Nokia Lumia 625

The Lumia 625 joins Nokia's mid-range handset market alongside the Lumia 520 and Lumia 620 . Although Nokia markets the 620 as a budget phone, the device sports a couple impressive features. First up is the display. At 4.7 inches, it has one of the...

Large display offers good Windows 8 OS experience, Fast 4G LTE connection, Decent 5 megapixel camera

Poor pixel density and screen resolution, Absence of ClearBlack technology, Middling processor performance
