Pantech Renue (AT&T)

The Pantech Renue is a solid, eco-friendly messaging phone for AT&T subscribers.

Roomy keyboard. Responsive touch screen. User-friendly interface. Eco-conscious build. Semi-rugged.

Mediocre camera. Low-res display. No voice dialing. Limited video playback.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions For multimedia files, there's 190MB of free internal memory, along with an empty microSD card slot underneath the phone's battery. My 32 and 64GB SanDisk cards worked fine. The phone is able to play AAC, MP3, and WMA...

Pantech Renue (AT&T) review:

I updated this review August 10, 2012 with Pantech's revised battery ratings. Online specs originally pointed to a rated battery life of 3 hours and 10 days standby time. Pantech provided CNET with documentation of 5 hours talk time and over 17 days of...

The Pantech Renue has an appealing design, a touch-friendly interface, and a quite decent slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Poor speakerphone, mediocre camera, and shorter battery life are the Renue's biggest deterrents.

Heavy texters will find much to like in the cute, compact Pantech Renue, but its shorter battery life and underdeveloped camera are setbacks.

Review: Pantech Renue for AT&T

Pantech delivers another quick messaging device to AT&T. The Renue boasts a touch user interface and physical QWERTY keyboard for pecking out messages. See if it's worth a look in Phone Scoop's full review.

Consumer review (cnet.com)

"I purchased two - they stopped working within 8 months."

During the window in which these phones were operational, the call quality was mediocre. The battery life of the devices was terrible. I am currently in the process of replacing the 2nd phone. It is noteworthy that neither phone was operational beyond...

Nothing comes to mind.

I purchased two of these phone in January of 2013. It is currently September 5, 2013. Both phones are completely defunct. Paperweights. They will not transmit or receive.

"Avoid this phone."

The graphics are slow. They barely keep up with my finger movements. The processor is slow. Things like even sending a simple text message take a long time. The controls are counter-intuitive. For example, the button on the bottom which is either...

-Long battery life (has lasted 2 or 3 days which is decent compared to today's smart phones)

-Slow processing/graphics

Durable, but frustrating.

The phone works well enough on its basic features. It texts, it calls. The problem is, the battery is horrible compared to other phones I've used of similar features, the phone doesn't lock well and I've "butt dialed" people several times while the...

slide-out keyboard, touch screen, durable

battery life, butt dialing, service goes out

The Best Quick Messaging Phone Currently Available

The Pantech Renue is a fantastic quick messaging phone and a must-buy.

Slide-out keyboard, touchscreen, touch-sensitive buttons, Powersaver, Sketchpad, and expandable memory

No photo editing, mediocre calculator.

Good phone

It has a good battery that has lasted me two days at the very least after sending upwards of 73 text messages.Pantech Renue is a great phone although the Pantech phones I have had in the past are garbage. It's battery is decent actually and after...

Qwerty slide out keyboard with some text message editing features pre-loaded. Also has good touch interface. Also despite what others say it does have missed call notification. It is in the lock screen actually. Also it always sends a message for me.

None that I know of.
