Samsung Galaxy Light review

If you're seeking an affordable Android phone on T-Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Light is a serious choice. There's nothing flashy or even particularly interesting about a this 4-inch, entry-level smartphone that just looks like a slightly mutated Samsung...

The Samsung Galaxy Light gives you 4G LTE, a decent processor, and a pocket-friendly form for under $250. Call quality is strong, too.

Camera images seemed dull and soft on the Light's 5-megapixel shooter, and the 4-inch screen makes the virtual keyboard feel cramped.

Buy the Samsung Galaxy Light if you're looking for Android on a budget -- just be aware that you're trading price for performance.

Samsung Galaxy Light (T-Mobile)

Thanks to its LTE support and solid call quality, the Samsung Galaxy Light stands as a good value for entry-level Android smartphones on T-Mobile.

Solid feature set for the price. 4G LTE enabled. Great call quality.

Mediocre battery life. Middling camera.

Multimedia and Conclusions There's 8GB of total internal storage, but only 4.6GB is available out of the box—our 64GB SanDisk microSD card worked fine for expanding memory. Samsung's nailed down media support for most of its Galaxy devices, and it's no...

Samsung Galaxy Mega (AT&T)

The Samsung Galaxy Mega is both absurd and awesome. It has the largest screen of any smartphone in the U.S., and is a top Android-based pick on AT&T if you don't need the absolute latest cutting-edge components.

Mega-size screen. Not-so-mega-size price. Slim design. Tons of software features. Stellar battery life.

Display isn't full HD. Not the fastest gaming performance. Stereo speakers would have been better, given its size.

Hardware, OS, and Apps The Galaxy Mega runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and packs a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB RAM. That's down a bit from the Galaxy Note II's quad-core Samsung Exynos processor and 2GB...
