Samsung i8510 INNOV8 review: Roaring V8 engine

Samsung INNOV8 is back to our shop and quite ready to strut its stuff again. Not so long ago we saw it in heavy duty cameraphone action, it's now time to explore the whole package. And there's...

The most feature-loaded S60 handset to date ; 2.8" 16M-color TFT display of QVGA resolution ; 8 megapixel camera with mechanical shutter, automatic lens cover, dual PowerLED flash, digital image stabilizer, geotagging, auto panorama shot, face...

Sizeable body ; No xenon flash ; No screen auto rotation in the main menu and homescreen ; No office document editing out of the box ; No smart dialing out of the box ; No FM transmitter (which may be nitpicking though)

The INNOV8 has already got a star on the 8 megapixel boulevard and might as well be eyeing Symbian domination. Here it goes, but watch out 'cause this thing rides fast

Samsung Innov8 Phone Review

Excellent 8-megapixel camera ; Intuitive interface

Call quality was mediocre ; Phone on the heavy side

The Samsung Innov8 delivers high caliber photos, but call quality is unreliable.

Review: Samsung i8510 INNOV8

Comedian Louis C.K. was spot on when he mused how everything is so amazing and nobody is happy. Take a moment to consider the i8510,...

Beaucoup codecs, including — wait for it — DivX! 2.8-inch screen excellent for playback. Intuitive photo/video editing suite. Equally-intuitive navigation. Automatic lens cover. microSD slot good for 16GB (enough for aspiring Scorseses to go epic). All...

Side-mounted headphone jack makes phone harder to pocket. Optical control pad is a tad sensitive (between us and you — we don’t want to hurt its feelings). Most bogus: Metal shell retains enough scratches to fill a DJ Shadow album. A little on the...

Samsung Innov8 review

It's not often that we get our hands on a high-performance camera phone. While plenty of high-resolution shooters land in the laps of our lucky colleagues at CNET Asia , we've had to settle for unlocked 5-megapixel models like the Sony Ericsson K850i...

The Samsung Innov8 is a well-made and powerful cell phone with a fantastic camera. Photo quality was excellent and the call quality delivered as well.

The Samsung Innov8 keypad and navigation controls are slick and not very tactile. The camera flash is disappointing, it lacks voice dialing, and the interface was somewhat poky.

If you want a camera phone that will blow almost every other handset out of the water, look no further than the Samsung Innov8. Design complaints aside, it's a powerful and eye-catching device that performs well as a phone, too.

Samsung INNOV8 i8510

This 8-megapixel camera phone offers multimedia perks galore, but you'll pay a pretty penny.

Sharp 8-megapixel camera, Impressive low-light performance, Good call quality, Long battery life

No 3G or GPS in the U.S., Large and heavy

Turning off the phone requires holding down the end button, after which you have to select Switch Off from an on-screen menu that appears, an extra step that seemed a nuisance.

Samsung INNOV8 Review

Now it is 2008, the 'I want it all and I want it now' trend in the phone industry is more appropriate than ever and simply having the best camera- or business phone is not so attractive. The phones from the higher class are already attempting to be...

Samsung INNOV8 (i8510)

It may not win a beauty pageant, but the INNOV8 has the features and performance to be one of the best multimedia capable phones we've seen. If you're in the market for a mobile phone that can do just about anything the INNOV8 should be on your shortlist.

8-megapixel camera, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 16GB internal storage plus micro SD expansion, DivX video playback, 3.5mm headphone socket

Drab design, Screen difficult to view in sunlight

Samsung Innov8 Review

Overall, it's a good phone with loads of features that you might not need or use. It isn't very impressive though, especially for something that is one of the costliest phones around priced at Rs 43,250. It's nothing something that will anyone's jaw...

Samsung INNOV8 - A Pictorial Review

Being the first commercially available 8-megapixel camera phone, the Samsung INNOV8 has gotten a few things right, not only on the imaging front, but also its multimedia and productivity delivery. For many, convergence is of utmost importance, and the...
