The Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH is definitely among the most exciting devices that saw daylight during this year's MWC. We took a closer look at its beta-version and were impressed but the final one is even more impressive. No-one's claiming it's perfect,...

Samsung UltraTouch (S8300)

Its camera is great and the screen looks amazing, but the UltraTouch is not a knockout. It's a weird mix of business looks, average apps and dodgy performance, and we just can't tell who exactly Samsung is trying to sell it to.

Excellent 8-megapixel camera, Slim slider form factor, AMOLED display looks amazing

Laggy interface, Stiff, business look, No 3.5mm headphone socket on the phone, Keypad is cramped and hard to use, Not a smartphone

First Looks: Samsung UltraTOUCH S8300

Samsung have always been in the business of churning out tasty looking handsets and they live up to their reputation with their first flagship phone of 2009 - the Ultra Touch.

At a sticker price of S$838 without contract, the S8300 is slightly on the high side but it brings a good balance of style and substance to a slim handset.
