Samsung X820 review: Just for the record

6.9 mm - this is how thin the slimmest mobile phone in the world is. At the same time Samsung X820 offers rich features, a comfortable keypad, and a brilliant display. Even so, it remains just a bit from real perfection.

We live in a world defined by categories as the biggest, the most beautiful, the smartest... and everyone is trying to outperform the others... Well, it seems that the Korean manufacturer Samsung has managed to do so in the mobile world by creating...

Samsung SGH-X820 - black (Unlocked) review

Yet again Samsung jumps ahead in the race to produce the world's thinnest cell phone with its new SGH-X820. Billed as the world's thinnest candy bar phone--though not for long, we're sure--the SGH-X820 is even trimmer than the already superslim Samsung...

The Samsung SGH-X820 has an attractive, thin design and an admirable feature set that includes Bluetooth, a speakerphone, and a 2-megapixel camera. It's a good performer, too.

The Samsung SGH-X820's memory is rather small, and it lacks hands-free dialing capability. Picture quality and call volume level could be better.

Despite some minor performance quibbles and a couple of missing features, the Samsung SGH-X820 is a nice blend of design, features, and performance.

Samsung SGH-X820

The Samsung SGH-X820, the world's slimmest phone, does an amazing number of things with beauty and grace.

The thinnest phone in the world. Excellent Bluetooth capabilities. Many powerful functions.

No memory card slot. Battery life could be better. Sold only through independent retailers.

Samsung SGH-X820 Concise Review

With the X820, Samsung has managed to create an exceptionally thin (0.27 inches or 6.9 mm) and solid construction and also incorporate vivid display, 80MB memory and 2-megapixel camera and keep the weight at 2.3 oz (66 g)

Small size, 6.9mm thickness, well-made ; 2-megapixel camera with high resolution for video capture ; Wonderful sound quality both for rigning and during conversation

The Display is impossible to see in bright light ; No memory extension slot ; Slight lag when navigating through the menus

Samsung SGH-X820 review

The Samsung P300 was both innovative and successful, but now Samsung has now gone a step further and taken the lead with the Samsung SGH-X820, which at 6.9 mm is the slimmest phone in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers go down...

First Looks: Samsung SGH-X820 Ultra Edition

The world's slimmest phone, the SGH-X820 Ultra Edition, is Samsung's latest push for technological leadership which at 6.9mm thick is a phone that is as much a technological marvel as it is practical.

Samsung X820 Cell Phone Review

Expert review by : S.SIVABALAN (mobile88.com)

Samsung SGH X820

The X820's a wealth of features are compressed into the 6.9mm thinness using the Smart Surface Mounting Technology. Built-in 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, document viewer and TV-output function.

Ultra slim; stylish design; high quality camera; good feature set

No memory card slots; short battery life

Sure there are a couple of drawbacks such as short battery life and the lack of a memory card slot, but those can be easily overlooked if all you're looking for is a stylish phone that will draw envious stares.
