Sony Ericsson W300i Cell Phone (GSM, Bluetooth, 20MB, Memory Stick Micro)

Music lovers no longer have to pay a premium for a music phone. The $180 (with a two-year contract from Cingular) Sony Ericsson W300i comes with a music player, radio, and camera built in. It does the job both as a phone and music player, but the music...

Nice, compact design ; Plays music well

Lacks exterior buttons ; Doesn't allow playlist creation on PC

This budget music phone sports a light, compact design, but is a little hard to navigate.

Sony Ericsson W300i (AT&T) review: Sony Ericsson W300i (AT&T)

The Sony Ericsson W300i offers good call quality, a top-notch MP3 player, and a generous set of features.

The Sony Ericsson W300i suffers from poorly designed controls and keypad buttons and low-grade picture quality, and it had a tendency to freeze on occasion in our tests.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Sony Ericsson W300i

One of the best values for money right now, Sony Ericsson's W300i delivers excellent sound quality, reception, and game-playing performance in a phone with decent multimedia features—for as little as $30 with a contract.

Excellent call quality, reception, battery life, PC connectivity, and music capabilities for the price

No stereo Bluetooth. Speakerphone should be louder

A full-fledged music phone for the price of two CDs? Sign us up, especially considering the all-around quality of this attractive flip phone.

Sony Ericsson announced the W300 back in February of 2006. It was the seventh Walkman phone in the series that focuses on a great music experience on top of a mobile phone. Along side of the Sony Ericsson W600 and the W810i, which are the higher-end...

Compact size and lightweight, strong reception, excellent call quality, good browser by WAP browser standards and capable messaging features. Transferring music files to the phone is easy and the expansion slot is handy for storing tunes. Score one for...

The package doesn’t include the Memory Stick Micro adapter to use with card readers. The phone is a little buggy and freezes up once in a while with no apparent cause. (When that happens reboot the phone or take the battery out for a few seconds.) The...

A very capable feature phone that’s easy to use and small enough to live in any pocket. The full Walkman treatment makes it easy to use the phone as a casual music player, though it can’t compete with iPod’s higher music storage capacity and even...

It's a good looking phone though, and we have every reason to believe that it will be a very decent media player. Physically, the W300i measures 90x47x25mm and weighs 94 grams with an impressive 9 hours maximum talktime and 16 days standby time. There...

A solid walkman phone that is let down a little by its irritating keypad. If you need a small handset with great music playback this is a good choice.

Interesting design, Walkman playback
