Sony Ericsson W700i

There will be two variants, both tri-band 900/1800/1900 devices. The W700c will be for mainland China, the W700i for the Europe, Africa and the rest of Asia. The W700 should be available in Q2 2006.

Sony Ericsson W700i Cell Phone Review

Have your music with you wherever you are. One press on the music button to start your in-phone digital music player, then choose your favorite song or playlist and enjoy. Getting your music into your mobile is easy - the W800i comes with CD ripping...

Admirable call quality, simple design, user friendly interface, high quality MP3 player with FM radio, Bluetooth and infra-red port.

Slippery, small keypad buttons, small phone book, poorly located headset jack, users cant listen to music through Bluetooth headphones, accepts Sony's proprietary memory stick only.

Sony Ericsson W700i review

Good looking multifunctional device

Musical talent is worth paying for ; A phone that wears its gadgetry with pride ; Fantastic musical rendition ; Out-of-box memory takes some beating

It lacks autofocus and close-up facilities

Solid, with a good camera, this is much more than an MP3 player

Sony Ericsson W700i

The W700i is essentially last year's W800i with a smaller memory card and a nice big price drop. But is that enough to justify its existence?

Great earbuds shut out noise ; Easy to transfer MP3s and browse music ; 256MB memory card included ; A whole lot cheaper than the W800i

Joystick navigation may irk those with big thumbs ; No autofocus on camera ; Minimal difference to the W800i

We're giving the W700i a good score, as we judge all phones on their own merits, and it is a well-made device with quality sound and camera. If you've never owned a Walkman phone, and are keen to see what the fuss is about, this model is certainly a...
