Nubia Z20 review: Trying too hard

The Z20 feels forced, like Nubia tried too hard to make it special just for the sake of it. The second screen is a nice conversation opener, but that's about it. Nubia priced the Z20 to sell, but the phone faces stiff competition.

Strong core specs ; Versatile camera ; Clean software

Second screen is more trouble than it's worth ; Inconsistent image quality ; Software bugs ; Some missing features

Nubia Z20 review: the dual-screen smartphone | AndroidPIT

In 2019, let's innovate in the world of smartphones! This Nubia Z20 offers two displays: one at the front and one at the back. But does it make sense?

Nubia Z20 Review: Are two screens better than one?

Nubia Z20 is the cheapest Snapdragon 855 Plus smartphone around, with a rock-bottom price. Undercutting all the OnePlus 7T series and the ROG Phone 2.

A decent two-screen experience;Great battery life;Powerful yet affordable

No NFC;UI lacks polish; No SD card slot

Nubia Z20 review: Are two screens better than one?

Do we need a screen on both sides of a phone?

Primary screen is bright/vivid ; Styling and design is attractive ; Software is clean ; Good price for the spec

Second screen is mostly not necessary ; A little lag in performance ; Not available from carriers/retailers

The Nubia's Z20 is a perfectly good phone, especially at its price point. It performs well, looks good, has a great screen, and a version of Android that isn't overloaded with lots of extra bloat or a heavy custom skin.

Nubia Z20 (2019) Australian review: Coin Toss

The Nubia Z20 is a good phone that's drowning in bad idea debt.

Decent specs ; Inoffensive Android skin ; Relatively cheap

Not enough uses for secondary screen ; Iffy fingerprint sensors ; Lacks most flagship features

Nubia Z20

The Nubia Z20 is the best dual-display phone we've used yet, but will that be enough to win over non-believers?
