Lenovo Zuk Z1 review

The Lenovo Zuk Z1 is a $320 Android phone that looks a lot like an iPhone 6S Plus. Its rear camera takes mediocre pictures and its fingerprint scanner doesn't always read your fingerprint. Its biggest saving grace is the phone's super-long battery life.

The Lenovo Zuk Z1 has a clean software interface and a comfortable Apple iPhone-ish frame. Battery life is fantastic, too.

The camera performs terribly with lots of image noise, and the fingerprint sensor doesn't always sense your fingers to unlock the phone.

Buy the Lenovo Zuk Z1 only if you're in need of super long battery life and don't care about camera quality. Otherwise, there are more well-rounded options available.

The Zuk Z1 comes to us from the Chinese electronics giant's subsidiary brand, Zuk Mobile. The phone is not officially available in western markets, but can be found at Zuk's online third-party retailers that sell Chinese phones.

ZUK Z1 Review

ZUK is a new phone manufacturer that has received backing from Lenovo and the Z1 is their first smartphone. On paper, the device seems to boast quite an impressive set of features and specifications save for the older Snapdragon 801 processor that was...

Good Build Quality; Good Screen; Excellent Audio Quality; Dual SIM support; Good Battery Life

No 4K Video Recording; Camera Quality not that great; Feeble Loudspeaker Performance during Calls

The ZUK Z1 is a an all-rounder of a smartphone. It has a lot of things that you would want for in a smartphone at an affordable price. The smartphone retails at a price of Rs 13,499 in India which puts it well below the asking price of a OnePlus One.....

ZUK Z1 review

Backed by Lenovo and running Cyanogen, can the 5.5 inch, Full HD ZUK Z1 make an impact?

Great battery life ; Reliable fingerprint scanner ; 64GB of storage ; Good performance ; Above average camera (especially outdoors)

Non removable battery (subjective) ; No microSD (but there is 64GB of built-in storage) ; Bland design (but it does have a metal frame) ; Average speaker ; No NFC

On the plus side, ZUK is backed by Lenovo, the Z1 runs Cyanogen, and the 4100 mAh battery is excellent, as is the 64GB of on-board storage. But, the battery isn't removable, there is no SD card slot, and the design could be seen as bland. However if...

Lenovo ZUK Z1 review: Good combination of hardware and software that is priced right! - Tech2

Many in India may have not heard about ZUK. But add the fact that Lenovo has backed the company, and things get a lot more interesting. As we used the smartphone for a week, we discovered that the Lenovo Z1 does have a lot going for it even with that...

Priced at Rs 13,499, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 (or the ZUK Z1) is worth your money. And it does pack in some goodies like a polished metal body, optical image stabilization and bloatware-free buttery smooth Cyanogen OS. Then there’s the large 4100mAh battery...

Lenovo Zuk Z1 with Cyanogen OS and 64GB space is a great option for users, who don't see the old Snapdragon 801 processor as a problem.
