CoffeeGeek - Cuisinart Coffee on Demand - Jay Belknap's Review

Despite the horrid reliability of this maker at this high of a price point I still like it aesthetically. i think its perfect use is low volume office situation where after about 2hr it runs out of coffee and you just brew a new batch thru out the day.

best thing about this maker is its looks, thats it ; lets you know when to descale ( but always de-lime every 2-3months, with this machine) ; removable charcoal water filter ; love the analog gage that lets you know how much coffee is left

horrible reliability max life time is about 1 year or less ; for reliability reasons you probably cant use the descale light to know when to de-lime

If you like coffe that tastes good, look elsewhere.

While the design of the maker is pleasing to the eye, the coffee it produces is not pleasing to the palate. I like the convenience of dispensing coffee at the press of a button and thought that since the coffee is kept inside the maker and away from...

No carafe. Looks nice

Coffee tastes burnt after 5 minutes. Absolutely way too much heat on the warmer and it cannot be adjusted. Can only fit small cups under dispenser so you have to use another cup to fill your travel mugs

Overall, nice machine for the price.

We replaced our Hamilton Beach Brewstation with this one because we like the no carafe premise and we can truly say we gave Hamilton Beach more than the old college try - we went through three of those. We got fed up and my husband found this one on...

Attractive, easy to use. Keeps coffee hot for more than 4 hours and is easy to clean

Leaks at times, must let cool down completely before cleaning the machine as it burns your hands, which could take about an hour after shut off ; Clock is hard to read if not impossible. Doesn't fit thermal mugs underneath unless you slide the bottom...

All in all I love this unit. I am very happy with the performance and the finished product. It highlights my homeroasts well and is flexible to the t

I should preface this review by saying that I purchased this unit at the very beginning of my descent into coffee fanaticism. As it turns out I got lucky and picked a machine that does a good job even by my ridiculously warped standards of today.

Ease of use ; Setup ; Dispenser ; Thermal Carafe design ; Excellent Brew Temperature ; Fine finished product

Too much plastic touching coffee ; Tough to transfer to portable carafe

Great Coffee Maker, just save your box and receipt!!!

Brews hot and great tasting coffee. Doesn't burn coffee if left on for less than an hour. Easy to clean, can put parts in dishwasher. Extremely easy to pour cup without any spilling or mess! Easy to program.

Save box and receipt, as it tends to break down before warranty is over

Great concept, but not reliable past two years.

At first, we really enjoyed the coffee maker, the ease was a wonderful addition the other appliances we had purchased and previous poorly made coffee pots. However, I will not purchase this coffee maker again. Although, the cost was relatively low...

Very easy to use, simple instructions, the coffee pot looked great when new, kept coffee warm for extended amount of time even after the 4 hour timer went off, easy to clean up

water condensation ran down the back of the coffee pot and left daily puddles, which, most likely, contributed to the electrical issue that caused the coffee pot to quit working. After two years of heavy use in our home, the handle would sometimes get...

It's pretty good.

This was the first coffee maker I did research to buy and I think Consumer Reports gave it a good rating. It was also the most money I spent on a coffe maker. Overall, I liked it.

Easy to use ; Looks nice

Coffe can be yucky ; Plastic tasting ; No way to properly mesaure coffee to water

Will not buy another one.

I have had this product for approximately 10 months. The flavor of the coffee has been, just ok. Well, today it happened. It doesn't work anymore. The machine made my coffee and has turned off by itself right after it was done brewing. And it won't...

It looks good and cleans nicely

The coffee flavor is just OK. Could be a lot better. It quit working after 10 months

Hot coffee with a gourmet dispensing experience -- delicious beverage to boot. No complaints here.

I know other people have given this product poor reviews, but this one is going to remain positive. I can't even complain about the taste of the coffee I've had. Each cup I've consumed has been flavorful as can be. Perhaps our proportions are...

Keeps my coffee hot, hot, hot! I'm not always able to drink my coffee in the morning until my kids head off to school and my husband leaves for work with his (aside from that first cup he brings me in bed). This coffee maker keeps the coffee hot...

Don't have any to add

Cool concept taps out on taste.

Just wonderful, if convenience and style supercede great tasting java. I was drawn to the contemprorary retro style. Loved the idea of the single cup or cups on the go. I also have never been so good at pouring without spillage, so this aspect...

Ultra convenient for single cup or coffee to go households ; Cool and fun self-dispensing concept ; Contemporary style ; Clean lines ; Space saving ; Metal drip tray ; Retro gas-styled coffee guage ; Easy to set up and use - (might be b/c my last...

1 - Cofee taste's terrible. YUK, YUK, YUK ; Could be b/c the water reservior and charcoal filter share the same compartment. When you opt for the "Auto On" feature (sinful but practical sometimes), the water marinates with the charcoal filter all...
