Actiontec Internet Phone Wizard

The Actiontec Internet Phone Wizard works in combination with Skype's excellent (and free) VoIP software, letting you make free Internet telephone calls to other Skype users through an analog phone--and it allows you to place regular landline calls,...

Compact design; very clear documentation and setup; allows Skype users to replace their headsets with regular analog phones; supports landline calls; works with any OS; uninhibited by firewalls.

Moderately expensive.

If you're already sold on the concept of VoIP in general and Skype in particular, the Actiontec Phone Wizard is a must-have device.

ActionTec Phone Wizard

Skype is OK, but we want to use it in other rooms in the house. This box lets us do that.

If you want to route regular and Skype calls through one phone, this is a very cheap, intuitive and effective way to do it.

Almost Good

Easy setup. Plugged everything in and it worked

It does it's thing but not what I wanted. I wanted to switch between my exsisting Voip phone (Teleblend) and Skype and use my current desk phone and wireless headset. Well it would not do that. You must make calls only from Skype contacts and fromy...

It works - but I had to read reviews to figure some stuff out

I have not read included pdf file but even simple "quickstart guide" should have said you can call by dialing ##00 then your standard 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

I bought it because my wife wanted to run around the house while talking on the phone. Bluetooth headset was about $70 and none of them had desired range. This way my wife can use any phone we have even 200 feet away from the computer and she can use...

I wish it had longer USB and phone wires

Dialing Clarification

I actually have Vosky Call Center but wanted to post this for those who say you can only do it via setting up Speed Dial. That surely will work but it is not the only way to do it. As mentioned above, the dialing sequence mentioned above will work...

Great product. Works as advertised with a few slight dialing quirks that they should be a little more forthright with up front ; (Most folks from POTS background are used to just dialing 1+ the number. That just doesn't fly with this device...)

Simply connect your computer to the Internet, pick up your phone, and begin dailing as you've always done-without any worry of a huge phone bill ; The statement above is not technically accurate. As another mentioned, you have to dial ## then 00 then 1...

works with Panasonic 308 system

More than six months, works very well.

you need to asign a speed dial number to each number you want to dial, and need to have your computer on all day.

Does what it says

Price, very small and looks good, software is easy to install for anyone and works perfect with Skype.

While it can be related to Skype itself, the internet, etc.

Works fine for me

Took it out of the box, put it in the phone line.

The only downside is that only the Skype speeddial numbers can be addressed by your phone.

don't lose the freakin' CD

do yourself a favor and make an ISO of the disc on your harddrive in case you lose the disc. the device is useless without the software.

the box works well, does what it says and works with hardwiring

the CD software is not available for download online. i uninstalled the software before i realized i didn't have the disc and i was pretty much out of luck. customer service did not respond to any of my emails. and the software is not available on...
