Avoid

Really - I wasted $130 for 4 handsets when I got this and hated them. SOme basic features they totally botched here. Ended up buying another brand after 6 mo's of frustration.

Good looks. Good range

Everything else is frustrating. Button sounds / rings / Ringo Volume too loud on pages - scares you! You can't page via handset name (you are allowed to rename handsets and I got 4) onthe the original number. VM indicator wouldn't drop after VM cleared

Great home phone system

The phones use standard AAA NiMh batteries. If you're having a problem with them keeping charge, replace them. The person who fully discharged the batteries messed them up. Unlike NiCd, NiMh, doesn't do well when fully discharged, and since they have...

Great System. Clear calls, long battery life, small and unobtrusive

No "Line in use" indicator on remote handsets to tell you if someone else is using the line

Great Phones!

I would recommend this system to anyone.

No more interference with my wireless network! Clear sound, I LOVE the intercom feature. No more hollering around the house for my kids

Some of the ring tones are just plain awful

I REALLY dislike these things

Got these at woot.com a few months ago. I charged all the handsets for a day, drained them entirely and recharged them again, but they drop down to nothing within a few hours on standby; even faster if I talk for half an hour. This is possibly the...

Clear sound, can transfer phonebook and settings between handsets, small. Can set phonebook groups and have identifying ringtones for individual callers or groups. Good price for 4-extension set. Don't interfere with other electronic devices and won't...

Uncomfortable in hands, convex ear area doesn't conform to your face, blue on blue LCD display is hard to read, won't stay charged more than a few hours. Caller ID indicator is the same as voicemail light, so you always seem to have vmail though you...

Not a good system

I'm re-gifting and buying a different brand.

System looks nice and very modern. Small foot print. Worked out of the box

Battery life is non-existent for the most part. Sometimes you can leave off the hook for a day; sometimes it dies within 1 hour. One unit has bad static out of the box (in the spare bedroom); the others have marginal voice quality. I have had to...

Worst phone ever made

I purchased this phone set (came with 4 handsets) January 2008 to replace a really old panasonic set that was good (5.8 mhz). I heard so many good things about dect 6.0. If you read my cons, contacted customer service at Philips several times. First...

Looks Pretty

It has been the worst experience ever. I followed the instructions very carefully and charged the phone for 24 hours straight (which by the way shouldn't need to as it uses NMh batteries which don't have a memory effect). After all that, the phones...

Nice phone system for the cost

WAY better than the lousy 5.8 Ghz G.E. phone system we had, which was a complete piece of junk. A good four phone system with clear reception for $70. It's a no-brainer.

Great reception! Unlike the other reviews the battery charge on these phones is great and I've never experienced any problems

Ring tone selection is limited, and what ring tones you do get to pick from are not the greatest, but definantely something you can live with

Excellent Reception! Excellent Design!

Overall this was a good purchase. I bought this system to replace a Panasonic Gigarange 5GHz setup in my house due to reception issues. This reception is excellent all throughout my house with no deadzones (unlike the Panasonic system). Also, the call...

Excellent Range, Excellent Call Quality, Excellent Design, Intuitive Setup

Some of the handset displays are of a poor quality (readability), there is a delay when dialing phone numbers
