Asus Essentio CM5675-07 review: Asus Essentio CM5675-07

Asus Essentio CM5675-07

New case design adds polish; convenient port access; relatively fast single-core and multitasking performance.

Emulated four-core Intel chip slower than less-expensive competition on multithreaded apps; few remarkable features; Essentio brand unacknowledged on the Asus Web site.

As much as we like the new chassis, a sparse feature set limits the Asus Essentio CM5675-07's shelf appeal. It's certainly not a bad computer, and its Intel Core i5 650 CPU is fast enough for most tasks, but we wish Asus had done more to help this...

asus desktop

Product good, service atrocious.

Everything works as expected. Compact design means easy portability. One of the best looking pcs out there

Asus customer service was nothing short of embarassing. What's the purpose of having no less than 10 different 800 numbers to call, if none of them are knowledgable. I was on the phone with multiple representatives, none knew anything about computers....

Two DOA in a Row

Super Great Deal (If worked)

Two arrived defective and had to be sent back... Both powered up but then almost immediately received a "blue screen" and shut off. Was told it was in internal hardware error. NewEgg customer service was great - ASUS service gave me the run around

PC Crashes and OS Freezes

Sending back to NewEgg - Try again

Good specs with 8 GB memory - reason I bought it

Windows Seven Freezes and Crashes ; Tried to re-load from DISC image with the same results ; ASUS tech Rep walked me through reload with same results ; I sent PC to ASUS RMA and all they did was reset the OS to re-install again. Are you kidding me? I...

Peachy!

Sets up and transfers files in a snap. No hitches or rending of hair and gnashing of teeth. Mine was up and ready for work, email and play in less than an hour.

Works well and silently ; Well equipped for the home user ; Seems well made ; Looks Good ; Cheap! as in a low price

Not for gamers ; Not free

Good So Far

Great as a first machine for the price. Would and will recommend this to friends.

Good machine for the money. I don't play games, however I edit videos, pictures, desktop publishing and lots more with the machine. The rig is quiet. Power supply fan and CPU fan are nearly silent. Plenty of memory to run various apps, VM's for testing...

Did not arrive with the keyboard as shown. The video is not enough to render the videos and pictures I need that is why i'm upgrading

ASUS Essentio CM5675-07 Intel Core i5 650(3.20GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity Intel GMA HD Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

This is the by far the best computer I've ever bought

First of all, this is the first time I ever bought a recertified item, therefore, I was skeptical about buying this computer. Nevertheless, this computer has been working great since I fire it up about a month ago. The computer came intact and it looks...

Wouldn't work

ASUS support was useless and not at all sympathetic to my situation. I expected much more from them. Newegg, however, was extremely helpful in enabling me to return the item for a replacement. A replacement wasn't available so they promptly refunded...

Never got it running to see if it was good or not. The mouse and keyboard would stop working shortly after the machine booted up. The system specs were good

Called ASUS for support three times and they told me to do the same things each time. It always seemed I was always hooked up with someone "in training". Their help was useless. I considered sending it back to them for repair but they wanted me to pay...
