Asus Nova P22

Asus's advertises its new $900 Nova P22 as a "multimedia computer"--a term I associate with 1992 and CD-ROM drives--and the PC does come with a remote control and Windows Vista with Windows Media Center. But it lacks many features that true Media...

Small and quiet ; Very stylish

No TV tuner, no HDMI port ; Tiny hard drive, no expansion capabilities

This media PC isn't especially media-friendly.

Review: Asus Nova P22 Mini PC

If you like a liquid-cooled, oversized, overclocked, loud-as-a-harrier-jet, game-scorching PC tower, then ASUS' new Nova P22 is not for you. At 9 in x 7.2...

Decent price for the form factor. Media savvy as advertised. Analog and digital audio outs. Small and quiet. Sleek black finish is purty. 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0 hardwired beneath its tiny carapace. Looks a lot like a Wii, if that does anything for you

Accidental shutdowns courtesy of the touchy power button. Strictly DVI video outputs, and this is an HDMI world. Built-in pencil holder (!) is useless if you stand the machine upright. Onboard “hi-fi” speakers could barely fill a small closet with...

Asus Nova P22 review: Asus Nova P22

Asus Nova P22

Attractive; fast 802.11n Wi-Fi; docking station port hints at future expandability; included stand that lets you stand it on its side; pen holder

1GB of RAM kills performance; no easy upgrade path; expensive compared to its competition

The Asus Nova P22 makes a decent attempt at competing against the Mac Mini. If you want a small form factor PC with 802.11n networking, this system is your best option. Otherwise, Asus can't compete with Apple or other Windows vendors on price,...

Asus Nova P22's is a good-looking machine, and its size suits it for space-constrained settings. But for the same money, you can get a far more capable, true media centre PC, albeit bigger and less stylish.

Asus Nova P22 review

Tiny, versatile and very well specced, the Asus Nova is a rare thing of PC beauty. Is this the Eee for the desktop?

A truly lovely lightweight desktop, the Nova could be a digital home revolutionary... if it wasn't held back by Vista

Asus Nova P22

Figuring out where to place your PC can be tough, especially if space is an issue. The Nova P22 is Asus's answer to users who want a small PC (this one's a little larger than the latest Harry Potter book) that is easy to hook up and comes with programs...

Small form factor, Easy set-up ; Comes with Recovery DVD ; Remote is a good addition ; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Only comes with a gigabyte of RAM ; Tends to slow down when a lot of programs are opened ; Not suitable for gaming

A small box for simple home or office tasks. Page: 1 2 [3]
