A real workhorse of a motherboard

Overall I am very happy with the motherboard, if you are looking for something that is solid and no nonsense, you can't go wrong with this motherboard.

I tend to plan my builds with the long game in mind, so I prize longevity and durability. I do not have any doubts that I can get a good 5+ years of heavy use out of this motherboard. It overclocks very easy, I was able to get my Intel Core i7 5960x to...

For some it would be the weight, the backplate is very solid and quite heavy for something that's not supposed to be gym equipment :p

good mobo

good board, good operation, good price, looks good, no real cons i can find, works well with my system that has got- 5960x, titan x hydrocopper, 64gb ddr4 g.skill 2400 ram, samsung 850 pro ssd's, evga p2 1200w psu

good quality product ; many features in a small package ; good expand-ability for high-end desktop builds

i wish some of the plugs were facing out the side of the board as apposed to straight out, but this may be a personal problem with my case so maybe not a real con for all of you

Very Nice Board!!

I needed to build a monster computer to record music, Edit 36mp Pictures and edit video on. So I needed to build something specialized. This motherboard really delivers! I'm very happy with it. There's no need to overclock a 3.3 6 core processor etc....

Easy to set up, Well designed, all the necessary options to build a top notch computer

It's little fan is a little loud, but that doesn't matter to the average person (might matter in a very quiet recording studio)

BAD EXPERIENCE

Does not support NVME drives even though it should according to ASUS product description. Could not believe that I will encounter such a bad service from the company I have put trust in for years. Had proffered ASUS for 20 years. What happened ASUS?

Great feel, cooling, a lot of features, 5 year warranty

REALLY BAD SUPPORT ; ASUS support stuff do not know their product or what they are talking about. Picking up the phone and put you on hold for hours and then just hang up the phone. Problem unresolved after 6 attempts

Ample features, solid board, great warranty. Completed the build, updated the BIOS and loaded Windows 10 Pro. Everything worked flawlessly. Using pulse width modulation case fans plugged into the motherboard and the built-in fan control work...

works better then expected

ASUS SABERTOOTH X99 i7-5820K @ 4.25GHz CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB @ 2750MHz CPU Fan: Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK

easy overclocking ; great port locations ; good cooling ; enough space to fit Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK above ram slots ; Great M.2 support for SM951 at 2.25GB/s read, 1.6GB/s write

Great motherboard for workstations

This motherboard works well with HyperX DDR4-3000 and easily can take my 5930K faster (and hotter) than I'm comfortable running it. ASUS doesn't market this as an "overclocking" board, but it does well enough. If you mess something up, just push the...

Beautiful design ; Good overclock results ; CPU socket spaced away from first PCI-e slot, allowing for big air coolers ; Tons of fan headers and great fan speed control ; Windows UI isn't a total piece of junk ; MemOK button on back in case you mess up

Windows UI is buggy, but still usable ; No on-board POST status LED ; Bundled bloatware on driver DVD, you have to pick around

Sabertooth x99

The board has been stable so far. No major issues to date. I have had it for about 6 months

I did not realize this when I bought it. The SLI spacing is non standard so you have two options. The old ugly sli ribbon cable or the 2 way ROG sli bridge. I have yet to figure out how I can do 3-way sli ; I have emailed Asus support 3 times with no...
