Loud, Noisy, Slow

I've worked with computers for 25 years and have owned at least half a dozen or so in that time, so I am no novice. This is my experience: It's sold with MS Professional so you would expect MS Word and MS Excel programs to be included. WRONG. It comes...

It works

It's Loud, Noisy, and Slow And it doesn't come with MS Word, or Excel.

HP Compaq 6200 Pro

Great machines for the $$

Delivery was quick. The computer runs great. It is being used in a secure setting so the BIOS security features are great to have. I upgraded the 7 PRO 64b to Enterprise and had no issues.

The mouse had a right click issue... i found a little round sticky pad in the click button area. Fixed!

Waster of money and time!

Bottom line: this is the 2nd refurbished product from Newegg and the other item (a monitor) crapped out after a few months as well. If you can't afford a brand new, save up and buy new. Steer clear of these refurbs. Love Newegg as a whole though. But I...

A bargain

Quircky Refurb, had to replace the CD-R drive a few months late. And then the hard drive which turns out, this system does not play well with Windows 10 and subsequent updates. Had my system bricked twice with 2 different drives. Good thing I had a...

Great price for the spec

Upgraded to Win10 and added a SSD and I have a pretty darn fast computer for the price

This refurbished computer once connected to a network cable want to boot from LAN. It took a little bit to figure out and then go into the BIOS and change the boot order.

CLEAN & FUNCTIONAL

Computer would reboot after waking from sleep mode. After I removed UAC my administrator rights disappeared. As typically happens when I get a new/different PC, I downloaded hardware driver installation files from HP website then did a clean O/S...

Case and all hardware functional in good clean condition. Mine came with 2.70 GHz processor (G630). Included basic new keyboard and mouse. Very quiet and smooth running fans. Based on tag and HP end warranty date, I think mine is nearly 4 years old,...

Did not like O/S and software configuration. Included trial internet security and antivirus software is too possessive.

Windows 7

So far this is a great computer. We do not like Windows 8 as we find them slow and annoying. This computer is very fast.

Nothing.

Quite Good

Another review said there was a problem with some part of the software. I blast the hard drive and load Windows fresh. Then I know the computer is exactly the way I want it - perfectly clean with no crapware preloaded by the vendor. Snap an image to a...

Where are you going to find an i5 computer WITH Windows 7 and a 1 year warranty for such a low price? I have 8 of these going back over a year. I had 2 memory modules go bad. Since the computers came with 8 Gb, I didn't bother returning / replacing...

They didn't come with a bacon lettuce tomato sandwich.

What a great deal!

If you're looking for a solid workhorse for your home or business, you really can't go wrong here. For under $300, you'll have a decent computer that will probably last for a bit. Refurbished computers really are the way to go if you're looking for...

I'd say the main pro is the price. Where else are you going to get a desktop computer with these stats for under $300? But also, this is a work horse of a computer. There is a ton of memory, it's really fast, and you can keep Windows 8.1 or easily...

These aren't really cons, but it does make a bit of noise sometimes, and the sound quality isn't the greatest, so if you're picky about that you might want to add some upgrades. I'm not sure about its gaming abilities either, since I don't use my...

HP6200 refurb

Hoping the computer works well when returned because I like it and am anxious to use it.

The unit arrived quickly (about a week) after order in good condition. The computer is very fast and arrived as advertised.

The software had a glitch. After starting it up for the first time, when the unit started windows, it didn't ask for product code or for me to set username and password. Instead, the first screen shown asked for username and password which neither I...

Not gonna lie.

If it wasn't for the 8 year old HDD and being stuck with Windows 8, I just might of kept the system. All in all: If I was a college student on a budget and I didn't mind being stuck with Windows 8(8.1); I'd definitely buy this. Its a great combo for...

1Tb HDD is spacious The Intel i5 2400 CPU is a quad core and still pretty decent in 2015. The CPU, seemed to have the right temp's and ran perfect. 8Gb RAM is great considering most office PC's come with 4Gb of RAM Windows 8 (8.1)

The PC Case is SFF (Small Form Factor) That means "special (non-interchangeable) parts" So if either the PSU or Mobo malfunction, you will be buying another PSU, MoBo and Case! (unless you have another HP 6200 laying around?) The HDD is a Hitachi (Now...
