Good system, hdd went out after a year

Fast system

None other than the hard drive dying after a year, which can happen anyway.

Nice little upgrade for e-mail and work

bought for my brother whose computer was excruciatingly slow. Downloading and reading e-mails were taking up to ten minutes at a time. He wanted something inexpensive and this fit the bill

Quick, nice for light work and e-mal

none so far

HP 6200

I replaced the HDD with an SSD, left the orig HDD as a data drive. This thing is great for casual computer users. I've had these HP business systems last for years sucking in commercial dirt, smoke, etc, and NEVER failing (given periodic cleaning with...

It works, no major problems, comes with Windows 7 Pro x64, and the parts are very durable. Price is great, and buying refurbished instead of new is more eco-friendly.

Expect HDD to have some mileage on it. Low-profile may be tough to use in certain situations, like when the only space for the system is on the floor.

doorstop

Ran long enough to update windows, add my printer and router.

Was pretty quick for a 5-7 year old

Died in about 2 hours, bsd, bad boot log. I suspect hard drive died or motherboard. Would not even enter Bios.

Starts to get defective

Save money and get a new PC. Also waiting to see if others had a much more favorable experience with the PC, because my dad really enjoyed it for the 3 weeks it worked.

Out of the box, it was a fast little giant. I bought it for my dad who just needed a basic PC for his word processing. For a while, the PC was good. But..

After a while, the PC would start to not shut down when the command was put in. When booting, the pc wouldn't turn on. The USB ports had to be changed on a daily basis. From the looks of it, the USB drivers were constantly uninstalling themselves and...

Refurb HP 2600

Seriously - for what I chose to use it for, this thing is amazing. Sophos never runs above 10% CPU, 44% RAM and has so many options for my home/small business network. I run a small server, 4 macs, about 5 windows pc's about ten security IP cameras,...

Didn't expect much, but hey, it was only like $180. Slapped a 60GB SSD from an older system that was upgraded to a larger SSD. Kept the included 250GB Sata for a log hard drive, then added a SEDNA PCIE 10/100/1G LAN Card. Installed Sophos UTM 9 Home...

None - thoroughly impressed with its' functionality, the quiet low profile case was perfect for my hardware antivirus/firewall appliance

Buyer Beware

Looks like a good deal, but pass on this refurbish PC.

Dirt cheap, but it's pretty much dirt ; Not much good I have to say for this machine, it's pretty much been a nuisance every since I got it

Integrated Video would blue screen and kill Win7 when trying to update the video drivers. Had to run Windows Restore and reinstall Win7 clean after MULTIPLE attempts to update the video driver via Windows Update ; Doesn't come with a Win7 disc, so if...

Great Value

I had to replace an older athlon machine that got killed in a power surge. I have the better PSU and hard drives to put into it. I just need to get another 8GB ram to put into it. These are the machines that my college uses and they are quite good. For...

Can't beat the price for an i5 chip ; No bloatware or crapware of any kind (which is refreshing) ; Works fine out of the box, but be aware if you intend to put more hard drives in or a decent graphics card the PSU is going to need to be replaced

Under powered PSU ; Minimal Memory ; Small Hard Drive ; Cheap keyboard and mouse that came with it did not function at all but I didn't expect them nor did I need them. Just be aware that they suck and it might be something else you will need to invest...

Great PC for kids and parents

Fast, easy to use, easy to setup. Small form factor fits nicely into any home office, dorm, or a kids bedroom. Comes pre-installed with Windows 7 professional 64-bit and plenty of RAM to handle multiple applications

Took a few hours to download and install all of the required updates. This is true of any PC today. Motherboard doesn't allow for too many extra add-ons. For standard web stuff, email, and social networking, this is a great PC. But it's not designed...
