Raid Ready

Excellent but understated machine. I did not realize that it was RAID ready. Once you own it, you then find out why it is rated so highly by other owners

Hard disk

For those of you looking for the hard drive in this to do RAID, it's the WD10EADS.

This a remarkably fine PC

This has to be a best buy at around $800.

Completely silent even when maxed out on graphics, no fan or disk sound whatever, and runs around 25 C cooler than my old 2003 PC ; Lovely graphics. I only play casual 2-D games, but ATI Radeon card is more than adequate for that ; Reasonably minimal...

S.M.A.R.T. statistics are not available ; 300W power supply is said elsewhere to be a bit small, but is apparently perfectly adequate

Ready For Custom Power Tweaking

The expansion bay is just begging for a BD drive, which will mate well with the ATI HD card. Seriously suggest upping the power supply, though.

A solid, 'everyday' performance platform ('everyday' as in short of a 'power-gaming nuclear reactor'). A workable number of slots to leisurely custom tune your set-up for desired performance and configuration. Have owned for a few weeks now, and hasn't...

Fast and plenty of SATA expansion!

Impressively quiet. And I didn't find the bloatware excessive - takes less than 15 minutes to decide what you don't want and remove it.

You can add 2 more internal 3.5" HDD... there is one slot in the HDD bay, plus one 3.5" and one 5.25" expansion bay. There are 6 SATA ports on the MB, and 4 are available (CD/DVD RW and HDD are both SATA), so there is room to add several external...

Windows Experience Index = 4.2 (video card). The other subscores are very high, 5.9 - 7.5. I willingly traded off some video performance for price, however, so not a con for me. Despite the desktop graphics score, the higher score for 3D graphics could...

Awesome

Tons of great features for a low price.

This is an awesome pc. Tons of Ram, huge hard drive, HDMI hookup and Windows 7 64 Bit. Machine is quiet and very responsive

Would have like maybe a slightly better processor, and of course there plenty of HP bloatware to uninstall
