Lenovo ThinkStation E20

The Lenovo ThinkStation E20 is one of the more capable PCs in the business desktop category, delivering strong performance at a fair price ($1179 as configured, as of August 31, 2010). Nevertheless, the ThinkStation E20 ultimately falls short of...

Screwless contraptions hold interior devices in place ; DisplayPort connectivity ; Biometric scanner on keyboard

Limited upgradability ; Poor diversity in external connections

Although the ThinkStation E20 is a solid desktop PC, it fails to unseat its business-class competition.

Lenovo ThinkStation E20

The Lenovo ThinkStation E20 has the power to rival systems costing almost twice as much.

Great price for a workstation. Very good benchmark numbers. ISV certified. Core i5 power for high end graphics. Tool-less upgrades. Media card reader. Lots of expansion room. Green Tech Approved.

No eSATA. No FireWire. A couple of trialware packages.

Lenovo ThinkStation E20 Review

In recent months, computer companies have started to turn their aim from the biggest and baddest workstations possible to providing end users with what the industry calls a "workstation-class solution" at desktop prices.

Solid build quality ; Lots of expandability ; Quiet ; Low power draw

Not enough front-facing ports ; No USB 3.0

Just how consumer desktops have mainstream and enthusiast segments, so too do business machines have mainstream and workstation options. Despite the fact that this ThinkStation E20 possesses only a dual-core processor and affordable discrete graphics,...

a piece of junk

Everything started out great, then the printers would not print and were not recognized. Then they were, then they were not, this time for good. Microsoft will not talk to me saying it is Lenovo's responsibility and Lenovo was no help. My only hope is...

Good Machine - Difficult Transition

Good machine difficult transition from XP to Windows 7.

The E20 (4222-67U) is fast, quiet, delivered with a hard drive that is not littered with trial software. It does what it is supposed to out of the box. The unit ships with Windows 7 Professional - that after a download - permits installation of XP mode...

The Newegg price was 200 above other vendors - purchased from Newegg due to existing relationship & confidence of a speedy delivery. Windows 7 a bear to work with. 7's Easy Transfer isn't so easy - 8 hrs to read old XP machine and transfer to E20 -...

Lenovo ThinkStation E31 3695

We have recently switched from Dell to Lenovo and couldn't be happier. These workstations are rock solid. Both i3 and i5 units perform very well. The i3 is perfect for our office admin staff.

An extreme amount of computer in a very small spac

Overall, I'm thrilled with the computer. Its build quality is nothing short of the very best, its very quiet, performs exceptionally, and exceeds my expectations.

Weight, Security Features, Durability, Build Quality, Input/Output compatibility, Processor, Memory, tpm chip, very quiet

Video card, how to add additional drives is not obvious

Great computer by Lenovo, we usually do not have any problems with them and this is no exception. 4G of RAM is enough for our marketing department. I have personally used this computer before and only gave it up because this user needed a powerful...

Lenovo ThinkStation E31 2555 - Xeon E3-1245V2 3.4 GHz - Monitor : none.

This PC really surprised me. The one we have has 8G of RAM and is used by someone in our engineering department. Running the graphics from the i5 was plenty powerful.

Personally I love these systems. I use one as my personal workstation and have been moving them into our mission critical end user roles.
